If the adware fix mentioned in the FAQ to PB support didn't help, try searching for other spy/adware that could mess about with your Windows account's permissions.

PB has major problems running on anything other than a standered version of windows. I would search around and see if anyone else is haveing this problem on XP media edition, its more than likely that it wont work on that version of XP, and if that is the case then its improbably that you will ever get it working unless BP decide to add support for that OS.

ive done many scans for adware and this didnt help its something that has happend between yesterday an today cause i played for a long time ysterday an stopped had things to do got on an got here this mournin an now this
