Ummm, obviously you dont recall the following historical events?

    1. In WW2, soldiers used dynamite packs to kill soldiers hiding in caves (japan) and bunkers (german/italian). How did it get into the caves and bunkers? The soldiers threw it at a distance!

    2. In WW2, you also had Japanese Kamikaze who road manned-torpedo's filled with explosives into US Ships. How did it reach the ships? The japanese drive it into the targets (ie vehicle bomb)

    3. In vietnam, tunnel rats used C4 packs to attack enemy soldiers hiding in tunnels. How did it get into the tunnels? Soldiers threw it down the tunnell shaft

    4. In South America, special forces used explosive packs and C4 to kill enemy soldiers located in underground extensive tunnels. Its easier tthen going down in a tunnel to be shot. How did it get into the tunnell? Soldiers dropped it from above just like dropping C4 from rooftops.

    5. Ever hear of suicide bombers? Maybe you dont know this but Iran has an entire military group (some 8,000 people) who are dedicated suicide bombers and wear C4 belts. These are soldiers, like Kamikazi's, who are brainwashed to do suicide bombings against military targets.

    6. In Beirut (79) and Africa (91), Terrorist used vehicles loaded with explosives to ram embassy buildings, killing hundreds.

    7. Even the movie Saving Private Ryan used socks filled with explosives and covered in Tar (called wet bombs) in which they charged up to tanks, threw the bombs onto the tanks (which stuck) and then it detonated via fuse.

So C4 has a very common and valid purpose in war. Especially urban and guirilla war!

I personally like the C4 changes. Except i think the trigger switch and placement should be quicker.

Even using C4 normally (ie. blowing a bridge under hostile fire) is difficult because it takes too long to place each C4 and switch to the trigger.

Agree totally, the reason some people are upset about the throwing is that they cant get cheap kills on Karkand anymore chucking C4 over the walls for uber scores

The delay is annoying but i assume it was a quick fix (that dosent work well) for the C4 trigger bug from before that meant dropping one C4 pack and changing to detonator instantly would often result in dropping another C4 pack for no apparent reason :|: They are talking about a hotfix for some other bugs that have turned up so its possible that they will consider this as well, but unlikely as most threads about it turn into maon-fests from previous one man armie (i.e. Spec Ops players on Karkand )

If you can throw ammo bags and med packs why not C4?

You can't throw ammo bags and med packs. And also, FYI, C4 isn't made of glue. Chucking it any distance should not result in it sticking to anyting but the ground.

            For the C4 distance matter...

You arent supposed to throw C4 anyway, it should take even longer so be happy damnit. Dont expect C4 to stick however you throw them...

IMO it should be banned anyway, you should INSTALL C4 lol.

              Poor them...
Thats what it was ment for before too. If you want to take out a heli be a god damn anti-tank and stop whineing.

The problem with C4 is there's no real use for it.

All you can do is kill each other and blow up each other's crap.

You won't win the game by destroying the bridge or destroying the enemy's UAV station.

i hear too many whiners about how they get owned by the C4. the C4 was fine before, and now it's just as good, except it's a little bit more annoying for the player throwing them. regardless, all of you complaining about how unfair it was will still be complaining, because suicide bombing, and using it against infantry will still happen. the delay is longer, but not so long that it can't be done. so why even have the delay?

Re: Spec Ops, what the hell happened…

Will you guys actually seriously thik about this for a moment? A block of C-4 is approximately 5 lbs. According to the whiners I've been reading about for the last 10 minutes, a fully grown man shouldn't be able to lob a 5 lb object over a wall?

C4 has hundreds of uses and one of them if you so wished could be using it to kill infantry. EA made a ****ing badge about killing infantry with C4, so obviously they're saying its ok right? If everyone keeps whining about how they were killed by some stupid weapon because they ran into the flag area without looking and got blown to pieces, we aren't going to have a game anymore, , were going to end up with Pacifist 2, using sticks and rocks (then someone's going to whine about the rocks, and they'll nerf those too).

Re: Spec Ops, what the hell happened…

It was fine before, if you couldn't kill a c4 chucker with a range of 5 feet with an assault rifle with a range (in game range) of 100M then you just suck.

                        Throwing c4 over walls....bah who cares.....not me.

And FYI I never was a c4 chucker.

It would be down right unrealistic, to be able to chuck something like that.

Actually the C4 packs would only be around 8-10 Lbs...Medpacks with enough supplies for first aid on 50 F'ING PEOPLE is only around 30 lbs. and the ammo pack would be around 15 lbs. if your carrying 1,200 rounds of 5.56X45MM NATO ammunition, however you are right in saying that this game is very unrealistic.
