Re: Lovin 1.2! Yeah, I said it. So there.

I had a blast last night with the new patch! I never picked up bad bunny-hopping or C4-chucking habits in the past, and havent relied on the M203/F2000GL to fight my way through an infantry battle ... I noticed that my round results have gone through the roof. I earned four veteran badges and two ribbons that had been eluding me in just one sitting - including my 7 kill knife badge.

The knife badge was pretty easy to get because now that CQB is more intense, people get even *more* hyper when they see you charging at them. I guess out of habit, or whatever, but a lot of guys still bounce about like jackrabbits, but then they cant shoot anymore... so as soon as I saw them start doing that - I'd whip out the ol' steel blade and *stab*. So... anybody trying to earn your knife badges, get to it quick before everyone breaks their old bunny hopping habits! LOL (Oh, I dove over a sandbag on a guy but it seemed like I couldnt stab while in the air either ... can anybody confirm this is nerfed too?)

Maybe that's what I was noticing with the SCAR-L. There was SOME devitation, especially at long range, but yah, generally where I put the red dot, the bullets went. This always annoyed the hell out of me in BF2. I would be dead sight on the target, squeeze off three rounds (semi-auto), and every round would deviate by 8 feet...wtf? I could sort of understand if I was in auto or burst mode, but we are talking single shots lined up with a laser scope deviating by 8 feet. It just didn't seem right.

The cool thing is, infantry are now much more deadly to each other now. As Spec Ops, I am almost like a mini-sniper, which is good. That's what I should be to an extent. I don't wear armor and am not setup for assault. I am setup to sneak behind enemy lines, take out targets of opportunity, and do a little mid-range sniping. I am really enjoying this patch as Spec Ops.

Spawning the bigger problem of walking through areas in Karkand, seeing a little mine so small I could knock it over with a pistol shot, and NOT BEING ABLE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT while their team runs right over it.

I seriously hope they make grenades able to kill those things again some time in the future.

Oh yeah, totally forgot ta mention that.
I play on a rig with very limited resources. I've definatly noticed a big preformance increase... especially in SF. No more graphics lag due to looking at a new building. Woot!
