We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
i get lag @ the begining of the round even @ low settings now.. *sigh... the lag at the beginin of the round caused by havin not enough ram, however i do.. it played smoothly b4 the patch.. o wellz.
I just did a fresh install of both and then did the full patch and everything is cool but, the optimization of the shaders took FOREVER!!
How do you get to run the 1.2 version of Special Forces? When you go to custom game is says it's 1.12. I don't bother reading the notes so any help would be cool :)
Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Mostly people with problems post on the message boards, so it looks like everyone who is posting is having problems. The people without problems are out there playing. And if they come to the boards they try to help those who are having problems, but they don't start creating threads saying my install worked great, no problems with install etc. Happens every patch.
So that being said... No problems with my install, everything works great :)
But I would revise the first post to have people just d/l the full patch instead of doing all the little ones.
Now i'm having other problem:
when i enter trought "Play BF2 Online Now!" the game runs normaly but when i click on "Battlefield 2" icon to play i recive the windows error message telling "The BF2.exe found a problem and needs to be closed"
Now what?
EA patches sux!
I got the patch yeasterday, added it last night.. One crash to desktop and no other issues. I have had one other crash to desktop and it was after the last big patch. All seems to be fine as I just added the 1.12 - 1.2 patch. I also feel that the gameplay performance is up a tad as stated above. Thought I was just trippin but I guess not. All this deleting and reinstalling stuff seems like lame "think I know whats going on" advice. Just turn off your antivirus and let er rip...
im starting to feel as if i have to dl the 1.2 full patch..but im going to try the all low settings thing...(why the heck do we even have to do that??)
If U Have 1.12 Patch, ur Suppose to DOWNload the Increment File. if u dont have the 1.12, ur suppose to download the full one. tht is y people r having trouble. 80% of the people r downloading the wrong thing.

actually no, I heard of people having problems with the incremental, so even though I had 1.12, I still downloaded and installed the 1.2 FULL PATCH and my bf2 works perfectly. so ha!
Even 'a lot' is way too much. This fourm has about 30 at most which isn't much compared to the 16000 playing 1.2 as I speak.
Just check other bf2 forums lots of people are having hte same problem. Anyways im unistalling and gonan try to figure out what the hell is wrong and post it here if I don't forget while playing. (if i get tit to work)
therefore before you install the patch, make sure all your video/audio settings are to low, then install the patch, then go back to where you were (graphics levels). i hope this works but i highly suspect it may not
or......
if the problem persists, EA will come out with a patch fix- mabye 1.21 will be coming sooner than expected
