Today we are testing AA and air combat, and guess what I got?

13-0, I shot down multiple J10, as well as AA

tips for surviving the new system:

1. Fly high, don't come down, don't go into the enemy bases, those are hot zone now.

2. Watch for enemy fighters, and launch missiles before he gets to launch his.

3. always naturalize the AA first, make killing AA your first priority. Until your ground forces capture the AA spawn, don't expect to bomb.

4. NEVER, and I say NEVER, enter an area where there are more than 2 AAs firing at the same time. AA has 100% accuracy now

5 on 4...thats not very geniune....

Anyways even if you could survive...100% accuracy with a system that relies on zero skill to shoot down planes/choppers...thats messed up....

I took down so many jets and helos today it isn't funny. All the aviators are crying, which proves to me that jet does NOT still own.

As to the AA taking zero skill, at the moment this is true, but as the flyers adapt so will the AA and then skill will be needed. Right now all you flyboys are still flying the old way, and dying in droves, but when you get the hang of the new game you'll see that it won't be the murder it is right now, though it'll never be as bad as it was...for infantry anyway.

You aviators bitch about this, which I understand, but from our point of view, the old way sucked. We'd put multiple SAMs into your jets and NOTHING would happen, we'd put tank rounds into helos and NOTHING would happen...it was a joke.

Bottom line is that you used to dominate because you were invincable, now you will have to dominate because you are GOOD.

Isn't that a good thing?

jets do own even with the new patch... specially if you're a pre 1.2 seasoned veteran. what irritates me is gettign shot by a f15 when i'm doing all i can to lose the lock... flares/afterburners.../ tight turns...

Umm...one tank round would kill a 1.12 chopper if it was slightly dmged before...two would kill it if it was not dmged at all....

For the billionth time tonight....the problem with AA is that it doesn't rely on skill...left click twice and its all up to the game.....and 1.12 choppers were easy to take down if u get into mobile aa and LEAD THE TARGET...same for a vodnik...

Understood, and true, but a tank round into a helo and it does not die? That was a joke. Secondly Vodniks are my weapon of choise for taking out helos, hell I used Eryx often enough, skill is not the issue.

A joke is how fast the tank turret fires and reloads....cmon...theres game balance and then there realism...game balance = one tank round heavily dmgs a heli...as it did in 1.12.

As I said before...skill was an issue in 1.12, you needed it to take down CHOPPERS...now it takes ZERO skill to take down ALL aircraft...what a ******** patch...

Well in the T90, which IRL uses an autoloader, it is faster than it should be, but the Abrahms, which uses a crewmember, it is SLOWER than it should be. So a wash there.

Also, IRL, one HEAT round from a tank would immolate ANY helo, even a HIND which has so much armor it's a flying tank.

As I said, adapt to the new style and you will still dominate. Right now we're on the AA and y'all keep flying normal. That will change and once it does this "lack of skill to use AA" argument will be over.

do a refresh and sort by people in server, there are servers full all the time. just have to be smarter than the computer screen.

My best today was 55/-2/30/0 ....My first round I went 20-0(kills/deaths) all on 64 player servers the fakers are gone the jets and good pilots are not...All you glory hound assaults singing praise to the AA god will find out soon enough.

Im even liking the aircombat now vs. 2 hrs ago,its far from over but Im glad the ground AA has to be dealt with now,before you didnt have to worry about it.Personally I KNOW FOR A FACT many people have overrated the AA situation and basing it on noobs who are experimenting themselves...like flying the plane to see the AA effectiveness etc....Just Wait a week
