BF2 1.2 Graphics

Hi all,

Since the patch v1.2 has come out I have the most extreme graphical lag. It can't even load properly and even the music lags.

Now I may have an Athlon 1800+ XP, gig of RAM, and a Radeon 9250 gfx card but before 1.2 I could play it... now I can't!

I had it overclocked but result all to defaults!

Your computer should barely even be able to play BF2 on lowest settings.

Radeon 9250? Athlon 1800+? Come on man, you need an upgrade, badly.

The game speed has rapidly improved for me, and i'm using an ATi X800XT PE and P4 3ghz Prescott 64bit.

I am going to mate, but it did work and now it doesn't since patch! Mate, I would love to but can't so just something to help at the moment

I think a lot of us understand that. Some people just can't do it.

I know i can't with my other computer. It has to run on a X600

The only thing you could really do is try different graphics drivers? I don't know man.

A few years ago, i had an ATi 9200 128mb card, and i could run the BF2 demo fine. I havn't used it on BF2 as we know it just now.

How about more cooling?

Spyware checks?

Clean out your computer?

Just trying to think.

Maybe someone else could give some suggestions? *hint*

Runs a little better for me, I cranked up my 7800 GTX a few more Mhz and enjoyed putting SF back into 1280 960 with 4xTSSSAA and 8xAF with max in game settings, although 64 player gator still lagged it was worth it for the other maps :)

Wow!!! 3 years!

I went that long once, but my computer was badly corrupted by software through the years. Once i reformatted, everything ran so fast!

Sadly, when they changed the graphics setting for the better, they sure did do something for us that don't have todays top of the line cards. Or at least, us that have ATi cards before the X series. I run the 9800 pro 128mb, and until the new patch I could play on all medium at 1024/768, with no real problems. No stuttering, no frame rate drops. But now, now I have to turn half of my settings down to low until things stop stuttering. Actually, before the patch I had some of my settings on high and the rest on meduim, no problem. Needless to say, I'm slightly upset with this turn of events. And I feel for yah man, normaly I run a 9200 All in wonder, because I use it for vidcapping. That card burned out a few weeks ago and I have been running this card, but when I get it back from ATi... I have to put it back in. Given your experience with the 9250, and mine with the 9800, I'm guessing that there will be no BF2 for me.

wow, thx for telling me my overclock got reset. I just changed it, some of that lag should go away now.
