AA is indead very powefull, I used it and took out an aircraft in two shots. I then went gunner in the attack chopper and we were up in the air for 20 minutes untill the gamended I had 0 deaths. The main reason for that was the pilot, I had one hell of a pilot in the copper and as long as your good at it you can still fairly easily survive in the air.

Not a problem. I admit I dont have skills as infantry to overcome most engagements. But hell. I´m laughing my ass off when people come back here with n00btubing problem or C4 chucking problem. Fact is, jets will STILL kill you. Now they will have satisfaction from doing so.

You are correct. The planes will still kill with amazing efficiency. The infantry now has a little more of a chance to "fight back". That is why I find the complaining funny. I have been in many situations where a skilled pilot was on the opposing team and you just have to sit there and get obliterated every few minutes until an equally skilled pilot spawns in or the round closes. Now a lot of these skilled pilots are mad because there is a chance they will die. I applaud what [SAJ]Sentinel said about the patch. I can wait to see how this really changes the game in the long run.

AA sure is better but i was playing some Sharqi and the helis were still ripping everyone up.

Then either no one was on AA, or no one was in VODs and tanks.... everytime we saw the chopper on sharqi he was on fire, because we were taking his butt down...

A skilled pilot wouldn't be mad, only "jet whores" would be mad, I fancy the new AA, since it's more of a challenge to survive.

Actually, I just came back from a Daqing round, I was in the J-10, ended up with 40 kills to 2 deaths (one being connection problems and other being too dedicated strafing that tank before pulling up over the trees)

In other words: A very skilled pilot can still survive

The AA missiles aren`t so bad when you know where they come from, it`s the damn plane cannon. It only needs to scratch you and you loose half of your choppers health.:|:

Sounds like the plane whores will have to exercise the same amount of caution that armor does going into a fight in order to survive. Sounds good to me.

Nothing better than using the carriers minuguns to shred an attempting fixed-baseraping enemy plane. I've seen some pilots attempt to bomb me by going head on in a bombing run. Funny results. Why can't there be AA like fixed miniguns on land? Would work well against aircraft and troops and non-armoured vehicles. I Still don't trust those pesky missles...

Don't get me wrong guys....I did not say "all" pilots....I know that there are some very skilled fly boys around and those skilled pilots will prevail. It is just nice to actually have a chance to fight back, finally.

Oh and Lugal317...You can make fun of my stats all you want. That is fine with me. I play the game to have fun and that is exactly what I do. I only recently got hooked up with a group of guys that could teach me some things and they don't seem to mind. As for your chest thump that you could take me any time anywhere, congratulations. I wouldnt take Lugals317 patronizing rant too seriously. I do it myself. With all the laughing infantry idiots who point their fingers at flyboys, its just a necessity to laugh back with some solid concrete boot in the face aswell.

Ya, I died more than normal... And only one guy on the AA was bothering me (if they had all been occupied I would have been in a tighter situation). But, don't make it sound like we still aren't going to own your a$$. With or without choppers I'm good all over.

doesnt matter how long you have been flying planes.. totaly different game. I mean heck, I 've been flying on simulators since Micrsosoft FS 95' and I have my pilots license in real life. The planes in BF2 are for $*%@.
