i think i have the only true story of why dell doesnt use amd..

one of amd's big guys probably bullied on of dell's big guys as they were kids...

amd hopelessy trying to say : we were just kids still hasnt worked...

Why would you buy dell anyway??? The only people that buy dell are people who know nothing about computers, but then learn from their mistakes and don't buy dell again. I wonder how many people had a dell for their first computer and have never brought another one, I would never buy from dell. My friends computer needed windows re-installing(its a dell) he phoned them up and asked how much it would cost for them to do it. £120 and that doesn't include the postage. Sure to say I did it for him.

I've seen so many threads concering the purchase of Dells and using other parts and such and problems with warranties. I've never bought a Dell and nor Do I plant too. I second Monkmachine, the only people who buy Dells are those that are not too expirienced with computers, walk into their local gadget store and purchase as 2000 $ Dell and have problems with it.

Thats sad to see some people unhappy with Dell, ive had nothing but good experiances with them.

You friends computer needed reinstalling why didnt he do it himself, dell would have happaly send him out a disk if he needed it.

Hardware faults, I havent had any but I know a few people who have and they were happaly suprised when dell sent out to one guy a 160GB hdd instead of a 100GB, happens all the time Dell give out a lot of extras if something went wrong.

Its generaly people in the US that dont get the very well asembaled computes becuase they come from india, the UE gets there computers from the EU.

I didn't say I would buy a Dell, there are some BF2 players who use Dell, and other nob-BF2 players who read these forums for tech advice. Lot's of people out there own Dell Computers, I am typing this at work on a new Dell D610 Lattitude Notebook. I didn't buy it, my company did, and it sure beats the pieces of crap most people work on. Although it may not seem like it, life is more than just BF2 (well maybe not in England, do you guys work?). I was simply making a post about one of the worlds largest PC manufacturers and their decision not to screw over the the world. If you read the article you might have seen this flamer.

I also Use a DELL. And I know a bit about computers (Last 2 years college worked assembly & tech support for Gateway2000 - but that was several years ago..)

I bought a dell because at the time... I got it below cost of the individual pieces (Rebates offered at the time in addition to 2 Online coupons). Havent had one trouble running the game on high settings (at 1024x768). Sometimes (As in my case) it was easier to buy a system... then take the time to build (Would still recomend building their own.. but most that Bash DELL (Not all) simply spout the same crap they read with no knowledge of their own.
