I want to build a computer too, but I can't afford it.
Right now I got:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-7VASFS.
Processor: AMD Athlon 3000+, 2.1GHZ.
RAM: 512 Micron Tech PC2700 166MHZ, planning on getting more.
Graphic card: Radeon 9600XT 256MB.
Soundcard: Ac'97 something.
Harddrive: Some weird named one, cannot remember, doesn't exist on the developers homesite, well, it got 150GB storage, 107GB left and 8 MB cache, doesn't run SATA though, I think it's ATA or something, don't remember. It's hard to get information from it. Aida32 can't find any information except cache and some other ****. It also runs 7200RPM.

Computer crashes: Once, because of that goddamn service pack 2.
Computer reformations: Twice, once because of a crash, and the other one when I recieve virus every second right after the crash and I tried Norman. I'll never do it again. Thank god Norton exist, DO NOT START A NORTON FLAME WAR NOW. I KNOW IT TAKES UP ALOT OF RAM.

so that's my rig.
It's not sucky, but it's not the best machine either.
But I run all the settings on medium, and that graphic is good enough for me. ^^

Here's my new system, it runs BF2 like a champ. The joystick flys planes and helos extremely accurate.

Man, I'll put my system up against anyones on this board, I have no lag at all, and like I said my joystick simply kicks ass in dog fights. I'm thinking of updating the memory to 4 MB, and I've been seriously looking in to the 100 MB hard drives. Pure speed demon!

My system has been getting updated constantly since I started playing BF2. Right now I'm using this setup:

Athlon 64 3200
2 gigs OCZ gold
6600GT AGP
Gigabyte K8U

I'm about to upgrade the MOBO and GPU to this:
EPoX 9npa ultra
7800GT

And to think I don't even have broadband yet. :p
