A 9800pro will run everything just fine at medium, with some settings (not the textures of course) at high, and x2 antialiasing. I read a very good article about which settings were worth turning up in BF2 somewhere, don't remember the link though, I never had to change my graphics options...You should be able to find it easily
But you should spend your money on another 512MB RAM stick, that does a lot of good.

Kattspya: dude the only reason i dont wanna spend money on a new good grp card is cause ill wait for the DX10 and for its dx10 card to come and then do a good upgrade ..
R9800 still has enough juice in it to play games till the end of the yr i guess ..and also since i got a good internet connection at home .. so i guess i wont have that much of a problem (tough still not so sure)

I have P4 2.0
512 ram
9800 pro
run all settings on Lowest
except 100% view distance
get about 50 fps
so. . .
save your money !
but if you want better game
best is better graphics card
x800xl is good
what kind of slots do you have
I guess AGP (pcie is now cheaper cards)

I have a P4 3GHz, 1G RAM and a 9800Pro 128MB
