How do you know what kind of RAM your computer takes, like the pins and stuff?

Well, there wasnt much for a label but just numbers so ill just post them and see if they mean anything to anybody.No brand or anything so im guessing there cheap. Oh and sackynut my computer is brand new. I have a P4 3.0 w/HT.Heres the numbers that where on the RAM.

If I get all new RAM and dont use any of the previous sticks does it matter what kind i get as long as there all the same?Comment

who makes the computer? what company. and asnwer both these: how many sticks you currently have? and how much memory is it all together?

well first off, you will have to take some out, because there is only 4 slots on that computer. so lets say you take out a 256 and put in a 512, you will probbably lose performance going out of dual channel. but yes, just make sure it is 184pin PC4200.Comment

select "Scan my computer"
Will tell you what you have and what they have that is compatable... however you can use their recomendations to look for similar from other sources.Comment
