Aren't these guys newbies (not knowing how to fly etc. ) rather than n00bs? I thought n00b generally applied to people who, for example, have played for 500 hours but still bunnyhop and then fire the GL at you and point blank, killing both of you.

One of my favorite N00b moments involves only two things.

A n00b, and an attack helicopter.

I dont know why but it cracks me up sooo hard to see a helicopter attempt to take off and just pitch right into a mountain side or the ground lol

Reminds me of my first attempt at it and nowadays I have over 70 hours logged on it and still occasionally get myself n00bered.

True, we were all noobs once, I remember knifing the tyres of enemy Apc's because I thought they would get a flat, but mutiny for being better in a plane is just bad gameplay. I would have stolen the J-10 just to annoy him so more.

Its really really crappy playing with noobs i know it happens to me at times i just change server or take a break from the game. However one thing did change my view of noobs and that was letting a mate of mine loose on bf2 . He's never played any game on any PCs but hes one of the best ps2 players Ive ever seen so i though he could pick it up easily. I was so wrong he struggled with everything lol he couldn't even drive a jeep he didn't realize that the mouse was were he was looking and all he had to use was the keys to drive. It was dam funny he did more tking and generally stupid things than I've ever seen on any server committed by anyone (even people delibertly being twats). lol worse thing is hes now buying a PC just because he was so impressed with bf2 and he wants to play it.

Don't worry when he gets BF2 ill make a post and warn everyone what his in game name is so you can all avoid him like the plague. Well until he picks it up anyway ill be there to teach him so he should pick it up fast.

I was playing Wake Island 2007. I saw many noobs there.

First there was this guy who was sitting in an airplane at the runway because he didn't know how to go forward with it.

Second I mounted up a copter, some noob was flying it though. It was quite cranky ride and then he went back to the helipad and boom, he didn't know how to slow down and we faced the wall quite soon.

Third I took a copter. Some noob hopped in. We had a dogfight with a Cobra. My second pilot didn't know how to use the TV missiles so he just shot the Cobra with the minigun thingy. So there I was facing the Cobra from the side, we both hovered on the air and we didn't move.

Fourth I destroyed a noob pilot flying F35B two times in a row with J-10. Then he started a kick vote and nearly got me out of the server all because I followed him with an airplane! He told me not to follow him because it was unfair, he only wanted to destroy ground targets.

For crying out loud please read the age recommendations on the boxes!

What I hate aslo is getting crashed while a noob is piloting the blackhawk, or even better when he decides to jump out without any warnings. Sometimes it's easy to jump in the pilot's seat and save the chopper, but sometims it's too late.

yes, hit E, fix your joystick and let someone else fly the plane. :)

Am I the only one who created local games to learn how to fly the different choppers? Why do we have to tolerate someone "learning" to fly on pub servers?

ok, i apologised for that but it happened within seconds. Got into the plane, joystick faulty, enemy jet dropped bombs and next moment i saw myself flying through the air. No excuse, my bad. =(

hi. im new in here ,but i hate noobs too,but everyone been one right? When i started playing BF2 ,the chopper was a bit messy to fly dough..(Im an expert now) becuse in BF 1942 there werent any choppers, and the airplanes in Bf2 is way much rougher too fly. But they rock 10 000 times more ..

I've jumped into attack choppers with some noob at the controls, I'll spot the enemy attack chopper, try a TV missile and start gunning at him, and my noob pilot will decide that "hey, that flag down there looks like a good place to be" and bail out... It's after about the second or third revolution that I realize he's not taking evasive, he's just not there!

all you have to do is right click and left click within the white reticule box to fire the stupid hunk of junk

it's not so much the age recommendation, there are some people who fit the age recommendation and still act like 2 year olds.
