Just a question:

Can the L96 shoot through glass, like the M95?

I assume it does, but I'm not sure.

It cant shoot through bullet proof glass, but it penetrates the glass of the cars (so does the m24)

Your assumption is correct, it can't... The weapon stat numbers are the same as the M24...

Once a guy sniped me with his pkm from about 150meters away. Instant headshot, I was realy confused, at least it happend only once.

150m?? TOO CLOSE!!!!

If your target is more that 5mm high in your scope (that is 1280x1024 on a 19" LCD monitor to give it some context) you are too close and have given away your one real advantage...

Nah. As soon as anyone hears a sniper or gets hit, everyone in the area looks upwards.

I prefer to stay low and in out of the way, less traveled places. Rooftops work well at times, but you better be ready to move from there pretty quickly.

Thats really not true due to the fact thats where people expect you to be.

Alot of times I will be on the flat ground shooting at non snipers higher than me and they never think to look for me there.

Well that was just unlucky but almost any weapon in the game would have been accurate enough for that...
