I need some sniping tips..I have unlocked the M95 and I cant kill any1 with 1 shot even if the guys is standing still..I also want to know how I should kill a running guy

well on a personal note as it the only gun i use(bar pistol)
it depends on how far away you target is.
as you are new dont go for headshots yet,
try and hit them in the torso,the m95 takes alot of heath from a player with one shot and a couple of pistol shot will finish them of.

The M95 is not a 1-shot kill weapon on anybody, unless you shoot them in the head. It takes 2 shots in the torso to kill both armored and unarmored soldiers. As for its accuracy, it is not the most accurate sniper rifle. I find that keeping the crosshair trained on the enemy for a second or two instead of firing immideately greatly improved my chance of hitting, especially at longer ranges. Almost everybody prefera the M24 over the M95 for the M24s much greater accuracy with the same damage, but some people prefer to use the M95 when they are forced to use a semi-auto sniper as MEC or China. It is also the only gun that can shoot through any kind of bulletproof glass.

It's strange, I prefer the SVD to the M24.

But then again, that's probably because I *need* something that's semi automatic to be able to kill anyone (and it would be better for running targets).

Ah...if only my gun didn't keep going black and the crosshairs didn't keep dissappearing, I'd play as a sniper much more often.

Just finished sniper expert. Here a few tips with weapons.
-m95 powerful if you hit something, inaccurate at times and believe me you cant afford to miss. But if you like power more then accuracy good luck.
-m24 very accurate, with bolt action two shots to any body part equals a kill. but you lose sight of the target to reload. and ofcourse one shot to head kills.
-svd; Let me say ive played plenty of m24 and svd and the svd is best sniper tool in the game. You never lose sight of your target. One head shot kills. 3 shots kills anybody, one more shot then the m24. reloading is faster. All of the semi automatic sniper rifles are the best. Better then both m24 and m95.

You may not believe me but its true practice in single player alot then go into the world. Beening able to shoot without having to bolt another shot has saved me alot. Ive kill 4 guys in less then 15 secs with the svd with head and body shots faster then with the m24, reloading each round takes time and gives your target time to run and hide. ONLY MORANS UNDERESTIMATE THE SVD and i was one of them.

Each time you see your target take your time to shoot dont just shoot and shoot youll give off your position. Wait for the clean shot, or if so much is going on like arty that it will mask your shots then take it. If its quite and peaceful wait for the one shot.

when i said 1shot kill i meant in the head (obviously)yes it takes 2shots in the torso with m95 to kill and its the same for a m24 but.........

the m95 takes 95 damage from unarmoured and armoured targets unlike the m24 takes 60 from a armored taget,thus making the m95 more powerfull,
check the weapon stats
m24
accuracy veryhigh
damage high
m95 accuracy high
damage veryhigh

there is the differnce the m24 is got better accuracy making it easy to master,
but the m95 is less accurate making it a hell of alot harder to matser.
i personaly think m95 snipers are more skilled at aiming than m24 due to the fact m24 is easyer.but the 1.2 patch will make the m95 more accurute but i dont think they will make it better than m24 accuracy.

expert sniper badge is 35kills iar and 100 hours yeh.
i got 44 kills and 38 kills does that mean when i hit 100 hours with sniper i will get it or do i have to do 100hours then 35+kills iar.

i must say yeh the svd as some great advantages hence why i love sniper kits in bf2 there is a nice variety to play differnt sniper weapons,

ive killed 3 infantary running along a wall with a single shot from a m95 went through all of them :)&shot countless heli's down and pilots love that m95 power.

it really all comes down to how you like to play youre sniper role,but the thread was about help with m95 so i only mentiond tips on that gun.

but i have a feeling he may chose the svd now :)

A tip is use the m24 as much as possible, its the most accurate by a mile and therefore headshots are much easier to get. Plus the m95 is such a overpowered cave man weapon .... to much noise not accurate enough, crosshairs are to big, crap! like killing a fly with a sledge hammer. Use the m24 its a craftmans tool! (if you're mec of pla use their respective rifles, again better than the m95)

p.s. my views may well change after the patch, if reports are to be believed then me m95 has been made miles better (however it will still sound like a cannon!)

But, without trying to sound stupid, what is so bad about the SVD?

You miss once with the M24, it could easily cost you your life. You miss once with the SVD and you have 9 more shots without having to fiddle with your rifle.

When you're too close and they've spotted you, I've found the SVD much more useful, not needing to aim for the head and just letting rip with a semi auto sniper rifle.
