A clarification to the rule was made recently, my apologies.

Most high point servers create a system where people are inclined to restrict certain aspects of gameplay. Ie: No tanks, no capping flags, only knife/pistol/paddle. That was the reason the rule was created inititally.

IndianScout then clarified it, as stated in your post, that it's fine, as long as it follows normal gameplay rules, and does not violate any other section of the RoE.

High Point servers are those that have a small player limit, but yet play large maps.

This got my attention pretty quickly because these are servers that I as well as many others prefer to play on for a variety of reasons. Thankfully, after posting to BF2RS this is in fact not what is intended by "High Point Server". From my discussion on BF2RS:

both version would be ok, as long as the game is played in the normal manner..

Actually when I first replied here it stuck it in the middle of the thread not at the end, I've since deleted that original reply. Anyway glad everythings cleared up on that rule, I was worried there for a bit. I'm all for busting stat padders, keep up the good work on that front.

I'm an L0. Becoming an L1,L2, or L3 (and administrate servers) requires you to be at least 18 years of age, due to an agreement with EA. Since I am younger than that, I was given the L0 position, which is not given administration permissions.

I just applied for L1.....but low and behold ill probably not get accepted. From the looks of the threads over there a lot of peoples applications just go unanswered.

All applications get reviewed. Sometimes we get bogged down and things do not go as planned, or as fast as we would like. You should be hearing something within the next week or two.

From what i gather. No.

The initial thought was that having a server set up that way was giving other players an unfair advantage to earn points (IE Padding), but BF2RS conceded to the fact that it really isnt, and its ok as long as the server is run in the normal fashion abiding by the RoE.
