We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
can you explain if you throw some c4 from BH or something to the ground that it's called stats paddding :hmm:
If there's a support guy in either the pilot seat or in one of the gunners seats and three people in the back are lobbing stuff continousl, he's gonna be getting lots of ammo points. EA like to think of this as stat padding when I call it a bloody good idea.
Carpet bombing is listed as stat padding, not an exploit.
BH whoring is an old rule that'll probably be nixed, it's from back in the days when you could fly a full BH near a flag and instacap it.
And AT kit against a black hawk? What? Do you LIKE getting filled with minigun bullets?
if you are in a good clan. it's peace of cake to take it down..
also 2 humvee are enhoug to take it down.
also some times, I spot the BH for the tank for my teamate. and we don't get filled with minigun bullets because we wait for a nice change .
but most of the players run away like dogs..
that's why a BH can rape so easlly(no thinking, afraid, noobish or something)

me to and allso the copper on mec side is not so useless anymore because of that
I just wish they would clearly define their rules.
We'll see what the genius's at BF2RS come up with for these "new rules". I personally think that BF2RS admins should stick to cleaning up stat padders. They have done a good job with the stat padders. Leave the rule makeing to EA tho indian. When I bought my ranked server I agreed to the TOS/EULA. Never any mention of RSA/ROE. Some of the decisions I have read on there forums are plain silly. Here are some of my favorites...

Having a 16 player server on a 64 player map is not in violation of any of EA or DIce's rules at this time. It is completely different to stat padding, yes someone may get 150 points IAR but they spend like 3 times the amount of time in that round than in a 64 player server so it evens out.
Badges may be easier to get, but that's all part of the game.
I want clear consistant rules. Not made up off the cuff one month this next month that rules. Get specific...
it would seem to me that this player is being disruptive and keeping the other players from the aircraft by vehicle whoring, while not against the ROE it does make for a very unhappy experience for the rest of the players..
Disruptive player is against the ROE and you can be kicked/banned for it
that aircraft does NOT have your name on it, and as such does not belong to you to whore for 3 rounds..
This post in reference to colony using an airplane 3 rounds in a row. What indian here is saying is that server admins CAN ban for anything they choose. You just have to use the correct context. Ig. disruptive game play instead of vehicle whoring.
I encourage those of you with constructive questions and concerns to go to the ranked partners forum and discuss them. The intent of the RoE is that they will see some fine tuning and those comments are exactly what is needed to complete that tuning. They are rules made by the community so I prefer that the community iron them out.
I think pretty much all of those are great except for the high points server. I like high points servers, to me they are really fun because the game lasts longer, you don't have to worry about dying every 3 seconds like you would with 64 players, and if you are going for hard to get badges or awards, it is easier to get them since once again, the game lasts longer. It's stupid because you may get like 100 points or so in a game that lasts say 30 minutes. But if it was normal, you would have gotten probably about 50 points in the game that lasts 15 minutes...stupid in my opinion. I don't play those servers very often but when I do, I find it rather enjoyable to play a larger map with only 32 people in the level.

Great . So now the Teen Admin (tm) can ban me for killing him in his APC with a c4 jeep, if he wants to. Goodbye to Fushe Pass.
Keith, that rule has always been there. Note that it's no more than a suggestion for private ranked servers. They don't need to have that rule, and most of them do not.
switch, the RoE was updated today, and one of the things that was ammended is that a server running 64 player maps that has the max player count at 16 is in fact giving those players an unfair advantage, and will be treated as such.

When I read the post on the new ROE, I saw this at the bottom:

EA Planet Combat BF2RS King Dave IndianScout
I see EA and Planet Combat listed in the Authors section also.

when you say "community". do you mean bf2rs admins? It seems that they are making the rules here. I would love to vote on such matters as a community. It would be a nice change from what we actually have.
@salad~
I think that BF2RS should be in contact with the ranked server providers. Not a shout out to ALL ADMINS: Read new rules. I know you are just trying to help here salad. But, my ranked service provider never even heard of BF2RS before I mentioned it to them. If high level decisions are made, let them roll down hill. The Ranked service providers are ultimately the ones that need to be informed here.
BF2RS is the program in charge of managing ranked servers. If your host has never heard of the program, then chances are it's one of the hosts that's hosting illegal servers.
The RoE was created by the heads of BF2RS, and contacts from both PlanetCombat and EA, working towards a way to make ranked servers fair.
If it was up to the community to decide, all servers would be 64-player servers with 16 players all using knife/pistol/paddles. Probably would be inside of a building somewhere, using wall glitches.

Nice bit of elitism! Good to see you have faith in us.
I'm not trying to be elitist in any way, I'm just stating the facts. While most people play legit and are fine, you can NOT forget those that will abuse and exploit the system as well as they can.
If you want to have a say in what goes on with the RoE, you are more than welcome to post in the Official ROE Discussion thread, found on the BF2RS forums.
Or, if you have a question, feel free to come on IRC and drop us a line. We're on irc.quakenet.org, in #BF2RankedServers.
I believe the Ranked Server Providers have a direct link into EA and Planet Combat. I am not familiar with the inner workings, but I know they all talk frequently. If your Server Provider has a question on the ROE, they can use the pipeline they have in-place today with EA and Planet Combat.
