New Nvidia Drivers Today 02/07/06

new drivers out today. head on over to nvidia.com and get them. gonna install when i get home tonight and see what happens. will edit post with any noticed changes.


this in release notes....(fixed)

• GeForce 6800 Ultra / GeForce FX 5950 Ultra: Battlefield 2 has
corruption or crashes when a player switches from zoomed
commander view to zoomed sniper view.

• GeForce 7800 GTX 512, SLI: In Battlefield 2 and other applications,
screen corruption occurs with SLI AA enabled.


BAD.......

• There are intermittent application compatibility issues with dual core
CPUs.

They were Beta before.

82.12 was beta before. (and still is). I was using 81.98 WHQL from Nvidia's website until a couple days ago when I started using 83.40. I don't think these 81.98 drivers have anything new other than 7800GS support.

Good. Something fresh to add to the mix. I'll keep an eye on how these drivers peform so i know whether to use them or not when I fire up this weekend =P

I use those as well, and I seem to get great performance. Plus I tried uninstalling them to put on 81.98 and because coolbits edits the registry, it f-ed up my windows, and I had to boot from the operating system CD to fix it, it would not load windows. So I do not know how to uninstall them the right way (even though I thought I did) without destroying my computer.

Having an issue with the mouse after installing these drivers. Mouse stays in the center of the screen, at the crosshair, while playing. Anywhere else, it disappears. The mouse still works, but you can't tell where it is. Rolled back to 77.7x.

Be careful when you install these =\
