bf2 crash 2 desktop wont start

1. my bf2 starts up to the splash screen and a black screen for 2 sec then goes back to desktop
2. i have an alien ware all the etc upgraded eg drivers
3. if i run it without full screen it starts but gives an error as u can see in this screen shot http://img443.imageshack.us/my.php?i...f2error5rz.jpg

4. the deleting of bf2 folder dosnt work so dont even go there 5. the editing of the video thing dosnt work
6. puting in res in my target thing dosnt work

as i said specs r enuff specs on my pc r worse and it works on it this 1 is way better

1gb ram
160gb hd
6600 pci-e

Reinstall....and get ride of all those freaking background applications! No gamer should have a dozen icons down there.

ive kept reinstalling since yesterday

1. thats the first thing a noob does reinstall his game
2. he updates the drivers
3. other noobs tell him to do what he has already done when on the 3rd step he goes to get help from other people

Delete your BF2 folder that's located in your My Documents...Might work, if not, then just replace it. I had this problem short-term and that's what I did.

Are you sure that you have directx9.0c installed?


Are you playing on a laptop?

Do you have XP Service Pack 2 installed?

Delete your BF2 folder that's located in your My Documents...Might work, if not, then just replace it. I had this problem short-term and that's what I did.

read b4 posting i deleted it but upload ur folder sum where so i'll try ur settings lot of ppl have this problem

i have dx 9c (bf2 installs it automaticaly but i already had it)
im not on a laptop

yeah i have xp sp 2 with updates
