Yeah it's a bug in the nVidia drivers that was never fixed. Use the 4xAA from in-game options and not nVidia CP.

I have also had this problem with a 6800GT. It's like Deceiver says, leave all the graphics options in the nvida control panel on auto, then change the graphics options in BF2 video settings.

I have a 6800GS (unlocked and OC'ed to a 6800GT), and I get wierd black patches in the game quite often. No, it's not heat, as I use RivaTuner to monitor my temps, no issues. I think it's probably the driver set I am using (non-WHQL, "leaked" beta set with some WoW fixes)...and it only happens on certain maps in certain areas, so it doesn't bother me too bad...but it can be annoying when I am trying to shoot someone and my card glitches out :)
