Wont that decrease the image quality tho? I like my game looking the best it can. I have the Game AA on full and my nview on 4x.... Could this be causing a conflict?

You can put 4xAA in-game dummy. Use the game settings. you can keep the HQ slidebar on. But for the AA and AF, use the game settings not the ones from nV CP.

If I was you I'd turn AA off in the nVidia CP and do it within the game. The nVidia settings for AA are going to override any AA settings you might set up in BF2, it doesn't add them together. I used the AA in my CCC (I use ATi) and it also applied it to the console (~) rendering it almost unreadable since the text is so small. If you use the AA in BF2 this doesn't happen. I would see if that helps your grass problem, although it doesn't seem like it will. It looks like there is a texturing problem going on with your card, possibly conflicting with the game. I can see your graphics are up high but yes the grass looks like total poop. I have everything on high on mine and when you get VERY VERY close the grass starts to look bad, (if you are looking through the scope of a sniper rifle, for example) and one blade of grass can cover your entire view... but yours is much worse it seems. Probably just a conflict, might want to report it to nVidia and they might fix it in the next driver release. I know when I play HL2 the prerendered shadows (the ones that never change when you play) have glitches in the color when I play. Just a conflict. Go into a room and I look up in the corner and I see a big green shadow then a big blue one, etc. Replaces the black with other colors for some reason. Hope that makes you feel a little better.

could it be cooling?, you said it only happens after a few min of play, maybe after the vid card heats up it has a prob rendering some things

I cant believe you have time to even bother taking notice of what the grass looks like. I would choose lower settings and higher FPS over Image quality anyday. Waste of a thread.

It sounds like the overclocking is overheating your vc.

Do use use driver cleaner before reinstalling them ?

Printscreen can crash BF2 now and again when on higher video settings.

Yes if you have the game set to 4xAA and 4xAA set in Windows, it, at least sometimes, 'causes a conflict. It did for me at least, so turn off the AA in Windows.

You won't notice any difference, and besides, the game was developed with nVidia by it's side.

Ontopic: Yes i have to agree with the others, i have 6800 and all options in Nview are application controlled, i do find that i get dramatically worse FPS if i turn AA off in options for some reason.

Edit: also i have my 6800GT OC'd to Ultra settings with no degredation in quality or running temps so i'd think that the BFG 7800 would be ok for some soft clocking.
