Also, the P90 is in less accurate than the Mp5. Yet, it's more stable on fully automatic (due to its smaller round, and it's bullpup design). My best guess in this department is horrible base accuracy, yet minimal deviation throughout a mag . You can fire off an entire 50rds. with a P90 and probably keep it within' a 12inch ground even at 25 yards. I'm sure the accuracy suffers severly after that.

Truth be told though. The Devs could do the same thing they did with every other weapon and model it after absolutely nothing based in reality. So, the P90 could have more accuracy than the Mp5, and the stopping power of a Truck. Who knows?

[edit: Typos galore! You people could at least warn me when it gets out of hand like this! ...sheesh]

You obviously know very little about the 5.7mm round. Size isn't everything. The 5.7mm round can penetrate 200 layers of kevlar at 250 metres. The round and weapon are law enforcement only in most jurisdictions.

The P90 is a formidable weapon.

Well, I wont be seeing it as a p90...just because...in the game, sub guns suck, which means likely the p90 will suck as well. I mean it might be better than the other subguns...but...we'll just have to see. It will be nice having something else besides the mp5(or counterparts) and dao

He did mention the armor-piercing properties of the 5.7mm round.

You think anything that can go through 200 layers of kevlar is going to differentiate your flesh such that you only take 15% health loss?

Stopping power doesn't not measure up to penetration. They are not one in the same. First of all, the 5.7mm ammunition the P90 uses is more likely go straight through an unarmored target. This is great for breaking through kevlar and body armor, but stoping unarmored suspects becomes a task when it's basically like shooting a needle gun through them...

The round this weapon fires simply is NOT going to down a man sized target like a 9mm para would do; thus the Mag.Capacity and the Intense rate of fire (Matching the FAMAS G2 which is one of the worlds fastest firing rifles). The round does tend to tumble not with nearly as much force as a 9mm.

As it stands though, it's pointless, neither round is going to floor you. The .45 round is the round used to knock a man off of it's feet. It does a perfectly good job of this.

So. Yes. Much like the full sixed 5.56x45mm round has been proven not to down a man in one hit to the chest cavity. The scaled down little brother, the 5.7mm, isn't going to do much better. Hell, up close even a .45ACP is going to have more stopping power than a .308.

So, once again... Yes! I stand by my claim that if this round is implemented with the prospect of reality. It would do around 15% damage, yet it would completely ignore body armor.

The infomercial claims the 5.7mm has better stopping power than the para, but that's coming from the person trying to sell the thing. Anyway, the .45ACP is a great round, but on the con side, it doesn't pierce armor as well.

See. I'm inclined to agree from their perspective.

Considering the weapon and round are "Both" designed for anti-bodyarmor/military purposes it would techinically in that regard have better stopping power than the 9mm para. Yet... how often would an Army carry a P90 onto a battlefield to have an effective range of 200m, then they could have a M4 with the effective range of 600m.

So. If you look at it from a realistic standpoint. You're going to use an SMG in an SMG situation. The P90 stacking up against the Mp5 against unarmored targets isn't going to fair so well.

                            Re: The P90

Well folks, I think many of you are missing the point.
EA: in the pre-1.2 patch update says

"Anti-Tank kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy"

I bet that means the deviation added to these rounds will be reduced and the initial accuracy increased. Thus, I suspect the mp5 will be more accurate than it currently is, especially when moving, and standing. While the p90 will be less accurate comparitively, but will make up for insheer number of rounds.

Plus, come on folks, its not these new unlocks are going to blow, EA needs weapon balance as it isn't fair to the other kits for all the medics/spec ops to carry their G36 love sticks.

Reload time is about as quick as an AK-47.

The video can be slightly deceptive. You're not going to drop our mags in the field. I don't think there is a soilder alive who's going to leave his mags behind in a firefight.

...then again, there isn't a soilder alive who's going to be returning stationary fire before finding cover. If you look at it carefully though, the P90 reloads just as fast as a full sized rifle. (M16, Ak-47/74/101/etc.)
