Seriously, mines are defensive and should be used inside your territory. It's people like you that make the system screwed up.

I also believe this thread highlights the reason C4 is so popular. It's the one remote explosive you can control and keep idiots from tking themselves.

Atomm you insubordinate n00b, you don't want to place mines in enemy territory where they have a extremely high rate of killing the enemy (good) because of your FEAR OF GETTING KILLED

It is cheap, & easy to place mines around friendlies, rather than go place them around ppl that will shoot @ you

I have a high k/d ratio, & a low tk ratio, expert combat in (5) kits, & expert command, who would you say understands the game best dude (system as you call it)??

You wouldn't happen to be 1 of those dudes that places AT mines @ the US gas station in Karkand when MEC doesn't even have a flag on the west side of the canal are you?

I cant count the times when Ive seen a friendly claymore, been quite far from it, noticed it, respected where is was placed and walked on....only to set the thing off.

Sometimes you can walk a mile away from the bloody thing and it kills you. Of course I never punish. I feel ashamed that I've given someone a TK. Im thinking that, his thinking Im a blind noob. BUT I SAW THE THING - I DIDNT MOVE ANY CLOSER TO IT !!

I know this is probably in another thread so I apologize in advance, but what is everyone’s opinion of removing the option to punish for Claymores and AT Mines in future patches? Dice will need to do a better job so players can distinguish between C4 and claymores but for the most part if you get killed by one of these it's your own fault...

On the other side, then you'll have a bunch of idiots putting them right in front of people to deliberately to cause a TK, and since they can't get punished get away with it..

Ulitimately it is OUR responsibility to deploy our weapons to kill the enemy, & not our teammates, & in the heat of battle we make mistakes, but a poorly placed mine is COMPLETELY preventable

I am in the top 400 engineers in the game, trust me when I say this, it is just like teaching, if half of your students are failing, you need to re-examine your teaching techniques

My (2) Good Conduct Medals are evidence that I live by this creed

My "pet peeve" is when I have to manuever in armour to avoid getting "blown to smithereens" by an Apache Longbow, & I run over a guy just laying in the middle of the road, & they punish

Hell, I slow way down to make sure I don't run over dudes, & @ the last second they will dart in front of me w/ out lookin' like a 3 yr. old running after their favorite toy

Exactly how "bright" must some 1 be, to realize laying in the middle of the road, or running across the road w/ out looking is hazardous to their health

I do realize why much of this happens, ppl keep moving not to stand still, & get picked off, so they don't have time to look both ways before running in front of a vehicle, or mine

When you become a cool, calculated veteran you learn to LOOK AROUND from behind cover, & then rush to your next vantage point, being careful not to use up all of your stamina, you might need it in a hurry!!

You might get picked off once in a while because you paused to look, but it will drastically cut down on the "aw chits", & you just might see the enemy BEFORE he sees you
