AMEN!!!!!! The bunny hopping takes all the realism out of the game. There is no way a modern soldier in any country is going into a battle and jump with all that weight he is carrying to avoid being shot. He is going to be smarter than that I hope...else he is dead in real life. I hate getting into a fire fight close encounters and I have to chase the guy all over to get him and then if either of us wins it is pure luck. Also going prone so quick and getting a shot off while you are going prone is unrealistic as well. I have learned to play with these quirks but I dont like it. I am so pleased that at least the bunny hopping thing is going to be fixed. Also the almost indestructable helicopters and jets getting fixed by giving more power to the anti-aircraft weapons and reducing the fire power of the helicopters is way over due. Knowing something about aircraft..if you shoot an airplane or a helicopter in the right place it is coming down...especially in the tail section and especially with a helicopter. And I do not see any way a real life F-18 or any helicopter would sustain a direct hit from a tank or APC. Aircraft at low altitudes are a lot more vulnerable than is being displayed in the game.

Furthremore. An F-15 has made it bade to the "motherland" completely missing a wing. So, I don't think the durability of jets if questionable in reality.

Depends on the jet. Many F-16 pilots have nicknamed it the "fragile balarina" because it dances in the sky, but blow on it wrong and you will have turbine failure and have to bail :P The F/A-18 is a bit more durable, but not by much. The F-15 is a work horse, I will give you that.

I do believe that the Super Hornet is considered more durable than the stock F/A-18, but I don't know anyone that flies one. Is the F/A-18 in BF2 supposed to be the regular Hornet or the Super Hornet?

Actually, one of the very first things they teach you in the military is that when you come under fire, immediately go prone, locate the threat, and call it out.

Im not condening jumping cause I really do not care what anyone does as long as they are not cheating. But we are not trained soldiers, we are video game players..There is no training involved So not to put down your thread but lets just remember that the majority are gamers who have no experience in the military..

Don't quote me out of context please. I was refering to the person I qoute saying he used military doctrine, when it's not.
