I agree that it's legit except for carriers. But that mostly has to do with the gross imbalance of helicopters in the game with too much ammunition. Also, there should be random spawn points in flag areas instead of the set points where people just camp and wait to shoot.

According to section three of the revised RoE, restricting bombing runs and/or artillery on uncappables, as well as restricting prolonged attacks on uncappables (ie: spawncamping), are perfectly allowed.

Baseraping isn't that great though.

I was on Karkand, we, the MEC (not me though, I was too busy), were raping the American spawnpoints. Then they managed to take basically every flag whilst most of our team were too busy raping them. We lost badly. I suppose it was justice in a way.

I think baseraping is pretty low, but it's difficult to draw the distinction between raping and being pinned down in front of a spawn point.

As much as I hate when somebody is raping my base, I don't think it deserves kicking. It's part of the game. TK's, bunny hopping, and intentional air rams should be the only things to kick for. How can you draw a line between going to destroy the commander's assets and killing few people along the way, and baseraping.

the worst clan i have ever played against for kicking was ima or i am a clan even kicked good pilots who were attacking a cappable spawn in sharqi pen... BUT only if they were on the other side so it was allowed if they were on the side doing it but not if they were getting owned they even punted a commander who artied their base !!!!!!

cry babies the whole lot of them ...... took them out of favorites and never went back thats the great thing if the server has stooopid admins and rules pick another there are lots...

as for attacking uncappable spawns yes war is war but everyone hates it when its being done to them and loves giving it.....

my personnal rule is if my team sucks and cant cap a flag and we are being raped i leave as i hate spawn rapers and if other team cant get a spawn i stay outside the zone and try and keep em from getting out their is absolutly no skill in duckshooting people in theri uncappable spawn and its the only one they have.......

and in closing =IMA= sucks !!!!! waaaa a we want our mommies

I got kicked 3 times today from the dissengration server out of chicago.

All 3 times I was flying.

First time I was at 35 kills (the most on the team)

Second time I was 29 kills ( the most on the team)

Both times was "to make room for an admin"

Third time was for base raping. - - - I made one pass on the carrier blew up two bhs and one scarrier got really lucky. Dropped some bombs and killed some more on my way out. Got a bunch of kills. Then immediately got kicked for base raping. Funny thing was I came back a half hour later only to get my butt kicked for 2 games in a row while they base raped the carrier with two aircraft.

God I love teenage admins. LOL

we have modded our server rules
Base raping is ok now
makes them defend base for armor, assets, etc
"SPAWN camping" is still prohibited
that is, you cannot just sit there with your gun aimed at a spawn spot and kill them instantly

this rule really makes little sense.. Its WAR ffs, all forms of battle should be allowed. Several of us were on the AOD (Angels Of Death) server yesterday, and had to watch an admin threaten several players with kicks/bans over Baseraping.

Only after I pointed out to him that the MEC had NO FLAGS did he say "ok, mec airfield is now available for attack". The moron had no idea they didn't have a flag, and was more concerned with kicking then helping his team get a flag.

And as far as carriers go, they shouldn't be off limits either. We played Wake Island over the wkend, and the USMC team NEVER got a flag on the island. I commanded and had jet pilots that listened over VoIP and took out any boats heading the island, and we kept the US pinned on their carrier or the Artillery Island. I took turns nailing the Carrier and Island with arty -- explain to me where else I should have dropped it???

When on the receiving end its not fun, but in battle it should be an allowed tactic. As usual, there are plenty of ways around it -- like getting a few flags :)

§1.5 Server administrators may not explicitly or implicitly (by actions) enforce restrictions on vehicles or weapons that players can use while on your server.

Section 1 covers "rules that all administrators and players using ranked servers". This is a rule for all RANKED servers, public OR Private.

How is limiting the use of artillery and airplanes (Artillery fire or bombing runs on main (uncapturable) bases may be prohibited) NOT a “restrictions on vehicles or weapons that players can use while on your server”?

How is Limiting the use of a Blackhawk NOT “restrictions on vehicles or weapons that players can use while on your server”

How is disallowing C4 on Jeeps NOT “restrictions on vehicles or weapons that players can use while on your server”?

That rule directly contridicts Rule 1.5 which says NONE of thoses things can be done. Since Rule 1.5 comes first and says that it applies to ALL RANKED admins and servers, my conclusion is that that is not valid.

Seems like the folks that wrote the ROE need to clean this up. Section one says it is NOT allowed, but Section three says it is OK. Which is it?
