I just got two unlocks and unlocked the MK3A1 and the MP7. I'm seriously hoping this is just testing because I'm saving them for the P90...

Someone tell me it's true?

Thats the point I am making... If we waste them now will we not get any with new patch. I don't need a in depth explanation of the benifits of what guns are effective. I have used them all so I know. All I am asking is if used now is that it till next unlock.

my point is that you wouldnt be waisting them, because they are needed.

for those who got 2 new unlock window poping up and have chosen 2 new unlocks, no worrys cuz this is ea's screw up, not ours, we arent officially informed of wat just happened, so go ahead choose ur unlocks,if this problem gets big, ea will fix it.

When I booted up regular bf2 when I chose a unlock to get my game crashed but when I opened SF and chose a unlock it registered

OK...I just got 2 unlocks for hitting First Sergeant. I was saving them for the new unlocks in the patch. However it seems I will get 2 unlocks with the patch anyway. So I should just go ahead and use my 2 current unlocks now and I'll get 2 more with the patch. Am I reading this right? Sorry if it seems like a dumb question, brain seems to be cramping up on this one :)

Whats really curious to me is that all my settings were reset. Thats not to wierd as that does occationally happen but before they were reset even with my current computer configuration (which is very very good) I was running the game worse than my last configuration. After the reset I have been able to run it at much much much better settings more akin to what my computer should have been able to do all this time.

Im definantly not complaining but its kinda wierd and Id like to know how it happened in case I need to replicate it or if any of my friends have the same problem. Guess well just see =D

if u have SF u get 1 unlock each at lance corporal and corporal, then 2 at every other rank (sergeant onwards) equalling 12.

but after the patch, u will get 2 unlocks every rank starting from lance corporal equalling 14 (2 per kit).

so after the patch, if u have SF and you're Sergeant or above, you will get 2 unlocks to compensate for the ones you dont get at lance corp and corporal

i got 2 unlocks and chose pkm and g36 .. im around 4000 pts short from first sergeant anyway , so i dont care. Only thing bothering me , is that EA/Gamespy obviously screwed something, since i dont get badges anymore lol.

You need SF to get the new unlocks in the patch.

Ya that explains nothing, I am sitting here at this screen to unlock my last 2 weapons in the game and I am thinking to my self... If i waste them on the support weapons will i waste my 2 unlocks that I could have used later on the new sniper weapon and other gun. Ea needs to explain that to us a little better. For now I am waiting!

You think that's a tough choice? I had to chose between "undefined" and "undefined".

..just got my veteran engineer combat badge though. i think its working properly.

I don't see what the big deal was, as soon as I got the screen I figured it was the account server getting ready for the patch. Same with the rest of the people i play with on Vent.

If you don't have SF pick whatever two you want. If you do and want the new stuff wait.

I think it's pretty clear they screwed up and gave us our 2 unlocks early. If they give us 2 more at the patch for the screw up kudos for us but I seriously doubt it. The "fix" will probably be resetting the ranks.

Seriously connect the dots....
1) "We're going to give you a blank pop-up testing the 2 new unlocks sometime soon"
2) I logged on and OMG I got 2 free unlocks!!!! These must be a screw up and totally unrelated to the upcoming patch!!
