Which resolution do you prefer and does it affect gameplay?

I can max out BF2 at Ultra High, 4AA and play at 1600*1200, but somehow I like to play more on 1024, it feels better. Framerate ain't a problem at the 1600*1200 level. Seems odd, but it's true. How about you? Which resolution do you prefer and does it affect your scoring?

    Cheers

I like higher resolutions better because at low resolutions the name tags become huge and you cant see ****.
    I can only at 1152x864 though becuase i only have a 9800pro ^^

1600x1200 4aa, 4af, hacked my BF2 to UltraHigh details...difference between High and UltraHigh is noticeable if you look at vodnik wheels, palm trees, etc...

you have to edit video.con in your BF2 profile folder in MyDocuments...there will be lines kind of like "TextureQuality 3", and you'll have to change 3 to 4 for better quality, however, exact numbers I don't remember...just search the forum using keyword "UltraHigh" and you'll find it

There is no choice when you have an LCD monitor. I run the game at 1280x1024@60Hz.

              1024x768@85hz

Going over 1024x768 will result in 60hz, and 60hz = burning eyes.

1024x768 60hz, BTW does changing the hz to something higher slow down you're pc at all or might cause lag?

1280x1024 60hz because i'm on a 17inch lcd with that native resloution. Anything lower looks really bad. However, my computer isn't that great and i have to put most settings on low to play at this res without too much lag.

I've got a pretty high-end system (AMD 3700+ 2GB RAM, 6800GT) with a nice big 21" Sony CRT, but I find I like to run it best at 1280x1024. I haven't played around editing the files much but I found that at 1600x1200 some things just got too damn small (like nametags).

I'd love to hear what other people are doing and why...

How the heck can you play on 60hz?? Doesn't it hurt your eyes?

I play on 1024x768 with 2x AA, and it looks pretty darn nice. I dont mind gaming at 1280x1024, but anything beyond that, enemies are too small at distance.

                            1024x768 @ 85 hz

anything smaller (800x600) looks ugly, higher becomes too small

1600x1200 no refresh (lcd) No other choice really.

I find that at higher res, its easier to spot people at the edge of ridges, top of building, and edge of draw distance.
