I sure hope those playing at 60hz are on LCDs...

      No it's not.

      I play at 1280 x 1024 70hz (LCD)
      6x Quality Adaptive AA
      16x High Quality AF
all high settings, lighting on low

IMO you need to find a balance between acceptable frame rates and resolution/settings.

          1600 1200 4xTSSSAA 8xAF Max settings

1600 1200 looks really nice and makes everything more crisp, the 4xTSSSAA really does it for quality though, if you don't know what this is, its Nvidias newer version of AA called Transparency AA. Typically meshes with transparent textures (such as grass/plant/tree leaves) are not AA'd with their surroundings, with this type of AA they are.

For Nvidia you can Transparency (TS) AA as either MultiSampled AA (MSAA) or Super Sampled AA (SSAA) which looks far nicer. Im running 4x TS SSAA, at 1600 1200 the plants look awesome, theres no shimmering between them and the background even at long distances.

The frame rate at even 1600 1200 is more than acceptable, the HUD is a nice size, I prefer to play this way. Unfortuantly I have to drop my resolution to 1024 768 in BF2 SF to maintain a decent frame rate on all the maps.

No refresh?!?!?? How does your LCD get updated with the next image then?!?

.:edit:. and my resolution is at 800x600, but im thinking of incresing it (my monitor resolution is much higher)
