It's going to be risky to record if we do it tomorrow. We'll get the demos and all but with the demos crashing who knows if the actual film is being recorded. I've tried just about everything and nothing seems to work. Some have said that the demos from some servers work while others don't. If you can launch a demo that was recorded from our server please let me know. I'd hate to have to cancel this movie at the last second cause of dam DICE and EA and thier stupid patching abilities.

If the movie is unfortuantely canceled I'll make a post of when the filming will be back on. Basically it'll be after 1.21 as that will contain all the hotfixes and hopefully demos will be working again.

Maybe it will be ok as long as nobody launches a UAV, but I'd personally rather wait till the patch comes out and be 100% confident.

What someone suggested to me was that we all have fraps running then upload our footage and you'd be able to download it. However, that would take a long time to download plus along time to sort through the footage. I've also heard in another thread of demos working 100% fine as long as there are no UAVs. Any truth to that. We don't really need them considering we know where everyone will be located. I really want to have this movie filmed today. I'll try whatever it takes to get it done. Not much I can do but wait til 2est. 2est comes around and I can't find a positive way to view demos then i guess we can't film. We'd have to wait til 1.21 comes out. Which is predicted for the 10th which would mean we could film on the 11th or the 12th.

If that suggestion had me wanting to make the movie entirely out of first person view, lol.

We can still go ahead this the filming today. Just for testing purposes, a practice run throught the script so we have time to load the server up with BFrecorder running, get some people to join, then restart, get hold of the demo file... test it... all before the full cast arrives. Or tell them that we are doing a practice run before any acting is done. People can muck about during that time keeping in mind that NOBODY is to call for a UAV.
A good idea would be to make yourself commander of USMC and I'll be commander of MEC.

Supposively the Sir server works and I have a demo that I was able to load from March 4th. Think the owner would mind. We'd be happy to mention Sir and give a full screen ad of them and ballistic servers. I mean anything to get this movie off the ground.

The Sir server is a good one, the only one which I can play demos from and get easily from their download page. FF is off, demo's play. I can address them and the server provider in the credits. Plus there is aa great chance that even more actors will fill in once the filming gets started.

There is an active admin running the show who can restart the server on command... an added bonus for me, being able to do the separate scenes in separate demo files.

It's up to you, If you want to call this arranged server a miss (get your money back) and talk to Xios or whoever is in charge, I will back you up.

My ping performance is always good on the Sir. Server, I play on it quite frequency, very reliable.

That's good and all but we need Gulf of Omen and the server is set to SF. If this can be changed and setup I'm ready to go.

Also I have gotten my money back from the company already. It's not thier fault just some bad software issues.

Notice: Operation: Burning Sands has been postpone until further notice. Due to some bugs in patch 1.2 we are unable to film the movie today. When news about 1.21 comes out I will let everyone know the reschduled date of the movie. I did everything I could however EA and DICE had a few bugs that have caused the need of this movie to be postponed. Thanks for understanding. Enjoy your day.

Yes, we all tried but something’s, especially oriented around DICE and EA, can never work out.
What can I say, they added a feature that wasn't needed and messed up the movie community.

Just a few more days longer and the filming can begin.

hey I might be a little late but is there anychance of some room left for an actor, live in canada, xfire is majorbg, average ping is 50-60 on a server located in north america. also it doesnt matter what team i get on. (prefferably usmc but I prob wont have a choice)
