Bright green, good contrast, but - sometimes, something a little bit darker is good- because the high brightness can be offputting when trying to aim at your target.
a nice black marker board mark on your moniter turns crosshair users into no-scope awpers in no time
This seems like a good idea for most FPS's. Now does this run any risk of bleeding or caking onto an LCD screen? I dropped $900 on my monitor last year, so I dont want to risk damaging it.
I use red because it's the default crosshair color in the game Global Operations and I love that game so making it red makes it feel like I'm playing Global ops. I sometimes use no color and turn off the hud...you should try it sometime it makes the game feel more real like you're actually there in the game.
Default because I am staring down teh iron sights most of the time and the crosshairs aren't a big deal unless I am up close which I can see fine anyway.
"In night vision goggles, the color green is used to display the enhanced image because the human eye is able to discern the most shades in that color."
I set my crosshair color to green in most games whenever the option is available. I've found that green is the best color to use since it rarely interferes with in game textures causing it to go invisible.
reminds me of a story:
"Amercans spent millions of dollars researching a pen that would write in space.
The Russians used a pencil."
BF2:
"Gamers spent countless hours and webspace on discussing a perfect xhair colour.
I used the iron sites."
crosshairs are not a problem... use a marker on your monitor if you're desperate. the main problem is that the TV missile crosshairs are always white and you can't change them, so they are USELESS on maps with a white sky like dragon valley
my buddy once said "just shoot and trust your instincts. use the force"
