Cant start up bf2 with good computer :S

what i brough to play bf2

512 mb memory
nvdia 6800ge 256 mb
bf2 and SF




so is it possible to play this game?


first i install bf2 then i can play

then i instal SF and both games wont work anymore

they crash after first black screen :S please help

Bit unclear what your specs are, because below your question I see system specs which are different than what you are posting. You should be able to play on high with the specs you posted below your question. Download the latest G-xtreme drivers from www.tweaksrus.com . First uninstall with driver cleaner pro. All the best.

Post the contents of PATCH.ERR (if the file exists) in your Battlefield 2 directory.

Ok. Install like this:

-install BF2 from original (v1.0)
-install Special Forces (which included a v1.1 patch)
-install patch v1.12

Then check and see if a file called 'PATCH.ERR' exists in your Battlefield 2 directory. If so, open it with notepad.exe and post the contents here.

No. You ONLY need to install ONE patch: v1.12.

v1.12 works the same whether you own SF or not. If you patch to v1.12 before installing SF, then you have to re-patch to v1.12 afterwards again.

So...

install bf2
install sf
patch 1.12

that's it.

That is correct. I stated above that SF includes a v1.1 patch. That is necessary and you should continue with the SF install as such.

hehe..sorry, that means that all files were actually patched correctly. Doesn't mean that your problem is solved :p

I would certainly start with making sure that your video card drivers are up-to-date.

What drivers are you using now?
Also, what type of monitor are you using? CRT? LCD?
