At first, I was very WTF?? When I saw the Wargimp TKed By message.
"What the hell is the commander doing shelling his own artty???"
Then I noticed there was no red ring and figured out what had happened... couldn't stop laughing and almost crashed the next hawk out.

On one of the rare occasions I was commanding, I managed to peg a hovering Havoc trying to cap the first flag on Clean Sweep. It was very satisfying. I've tried on other occasions, but to no success. In a different round, I was gunning in a Blackhawk on Mashtuur and my pilot flew too low over our arty. Needless to say, it was a fiery crash that followed.

Ive, been killed twice by arty while flying a plane. Once was on wake where i would hover the f-35, just behind the hill with the chinese uav by it, and poke up and gun people down, and the commander got tierd of it, and place an arty on me. The other time was when I was just flying back for a re arm and I guess I flew right through the arty and it got me. ever since then if I see an arty I always fly sideways.

The worst one is getting a direct hit by arty when your going full speed in a J-10.

Nothing wrong with dropping artie on a helipad. There's frequently a group of enemies camping around the pad. If there's no place to drop artie without hitting friendlies.......I'm more than happy to drop artie on the helipad.

Are you talking about it when they are taking off or when they are in the air ?

I ask because in the helo, I have flown thru arty fire and never got hit...

Well, then again, on the ground, there is the splash damage... in the air... its really got to hit you...

Funnier is when a supply crate takes down a jet.

But yeah, killing a heli is satisfying in any circumstance for me.

Flew at full speed in an F-18 (1200 kph, or whatever it is in) and got hit by the last of all arty shells. Talk about bad luck!
