Well maybe someone has made a boob by sending a PM to AC/DC and getting all aggressive and defensive won't help anyone! Fair enough he wasn't exactly polite but he seems to state that they've been patient and maybe tried to contact the offender so that to me seems to point towards a mis-understanding?

To second my clanmates apologies, I am sorry AC/DC. I knew the threats were not something I could back up, but I thought doing it would help because the person I thought I was talking to never ever listened to our other requests. I made a big mistake here and I am sorry.

I had a couple different reasons as to why I assumed this was a different person, but I should have asked first to be sure. DNC is actually a very nice group of guys ... I just f'ed up and wont let it happen again. Sorry for all the drama.

Come on, give these guys from DNC a break. Yeah, they screwed up and did soemthing they shouldn't have. But at least they came here and apologized for the mistake. How often do you see that happen in forums?

People love to cause drama, personally, I understand exactly what has gone thru your clan considering that I am member of a mature, adult clan for 3 years now...

Some regs get attached, yet have an issue with following simple rules... after many warnings... its a ban, they come back and cause crazy forum drama... so forum ban... then they go running around random servers using our tag, disrupting gameplay

Those are very sad cases...

In conclusion... I will say... Its easy to talk when you have no clue what is going on.

I just completed an article for publication on server administration. Researching this, I found a set of rules that can be enforced on "private servers" among which was, "no impersonating clan members." Private servers can create rules as long as they don't violate EA's "global rules"

This being said, if this person is legitimate with a legitimate gripe, he'd be aware of this rule, and would conduct himself accordingly. "Going around..." means he's inferring you're doing this on other servers than his clan's. His clan has no authority to prevent anyone from using "his" clan tag on any server but his clan's server.

If you have a personal firewall, and a good virus protection package, there's nothing to fear from this sort of threat. EA won't respond to people like this. He has no legitimate gripe. Dunnat wurry about it.

However, if he dogs you. If he spams you with threats. Tell him you're reporting him to the U.S. Department of Justice for harassment. It's their jurisdiction. You can find links to file a complaint on their website.
