One way to find out is whether or not your PID is the same as the PID they have?

i wouldnt worry about him.he cant put u on the ban list unless he has proof of you cheating and as in bying anther bf2 game and it wont work.unless u hacked pb itself they wont harware ban you.so dont sweet it.keep playing and have fun

He doesn't have to. That idiot didn't start the conversation asking questions in an exploratory tone of voice. He made accusations and threatened the guy. How do I get a DNC clan tag? Hell, I'll use it.

Yeah he is talking out his ass about globally banning you. There are only 2 ways to do that. One is through Punkbusted.com, you need to provide proof that you were cheating to them and then they put you on a player cheating list. Now only those servers that link to the punkbusted list will ban you. To go through evenbalance.com ie Punkbuster again they need to provide proof of you cheating/hacking then PB will hardware ban you.

Even for arguments sake you were using their tags, that is not reason alone for either of these places to ban you so don't sweat it.

He cannot do the global ban. so do not worry about that. If every admin can do that then will all be in trouble. they can prevent you from playing on thier server only.
respond to him and tell him that he is mistaken or something wrong. or you can simply ignore him completely.

Well maybe someone has made a boob by sending a PM to AC/DC and getting all aggressive and defensive won't help anyone! Fair enough he wasn't exactly polite but he seems to state that they've been patient and maybe tried to contact the offender so that to me seems to point towards a mis-understanding?

I dont think PB can ban you from all PB protected servers, dosent the Admin have a option to set the PB level.

What i am saying is you cant get banned from every server that has PB.

If someone opens a conversation with a threat you know its a kid typing the messages. He does only need to know your player name to get your pid but id bet he aint got your ip. Even if he has that aint hard to change.
I remeber the old CS days on t'server, if you took every threat seriously myg0ts would rule the world without even having to be inventive.
I wouldnt respond, but if you did id point out that he has laid all his cards on the table and has no fall back position or threat. Essentially he says he might have you hacked, yet if it happened you know who it is and with his player name and server logs you can get him done- therefore hes very dim or over confident.

that wont even do it. they will only ban a person from data sent from a server streaming data to thier master. thats so admins cant falsify bans.
