I have been playing for a while and i dont know how to get the basic knife or pitol badge. I'm going to need them pretty soon for my next rank but i dont know how im supposed to get 7 knife kills in a round. any suggestions, like wuts the best map, how to do it, anything like that. Thanks.

Find a good bodyshield and stick behind them. Then when they drop down and die do a tiger pounce and knife him.

i got my vet pistol from camping on the roof of one of the buildings at the city entrance on sharqi. I got 14 pistol kills in that round

Knife and pistol badges are easiest to earn on close up maps, Special forces is great for this, but Karkand is the map of choice if you've only got BF2.

I got both my Gold (expert) knife and pistol badge on karkand, in fact I got my gold (expert) explosive ordinance on that map as well.

Simply use the weapon all round, be a bit sneaky, get into places which allow you to sneak up on enemies to gain the advantage of not being seen, head on knifing is almost a total waste of time. Snipers are easy pickings if you can go out of your way to get them.

BTW you think 7 in a round is tough, you should try 18 :)

On night maps in SF such as devils perch, I can almost get 7 knife kills just from opertunity knife kills, managed to get behind 5 snipes on 1 hill on a small island in the pitch black and just knife my way from the back to the front of them all without any of them noticing lol

Sharqi or Karkand - get a medic to chase you around to lessen your respawn time - also - stay inside the UAV. Get a commander to help you out with that.

7 kill IAR is nothing. Wait til you try for expert.

well, for the knife combat i suggest you play as commander and search out the snipers/idlers and kill them. you will get you badge this way

the pistol badge is verry easy, just put yourself under a rock in strike at karkand and do a lil rape.

i finally got the knife badge but now im trying for the pistol badge. I'm not sure if how i got the knife bage was stat padding, cus i was banned for it. but i thought that stat padding was when u keep killing the same guy. Is it still stat padding if u challenge someone to a fair knife fight, where whoever is a better knife dueler wins? if this is stat padding, i wont do it again. Just asking. Anyway anymore tips for pistol badge?????
