how to get the basic knife/pistol badge

I have been playing for a while and i dont know how to get the basic knife or pitol badge. I'm going to need them pretty soon for my next rank but i dont know how im supposed to get 7 knife kills in a round. any suggestions, like wuts the best map, how to do it, anything like that. Thanks.

I got my basic pistol on sharqi...just use the pistol the whole time, its really overpowered and overaccurate weapon so its not hard to get some headshots with it. im still wrokin on my knife badge though.

be US on sharqi.. wait for MEC team to overtake the city entrance spawn.. go prone up on the building thats a spawn.. knife 7 people..

Got my Pistol on Mashturr City (SP?)

I just ran around with the Pistol till I found my way to Hotel and did a little pitch-a-tentin' on the MEC side.

Knife is kinda hard but came close with 5 kills and then the round ended....

Pistol is pretty easy really as the pistol is rediculously effective and accurate even at range in this game, you just need to use it a lot...

Knife I can't comment on as I am have a bugger of a time trying to get that one myself...

Got knife on Karkand. Look for prone shooters and spawn points.

Got pistol surprisingly on Dragon Valley shooting through one of the windows at the base which has the tow (the market?). A tip for pistol badge might be to go sniper and trying the tactic of using one shot with sniper rifle then finishing them off with the pistol.

Knife i did with special forces night maps and a hell of alot of flashbangs, eventually finding an entire squad hiding from a tank, something about stabbing thats so satisfying. I tried forever on vanilla and never got it.

Pistol is easy once your used to it and its a very useful gun during the game, i think if i went for vet i may try the damage with main weapon kill with pistol approach, i tend to have to do this anyway as my aim is terrible.

for knife i went on karkand and put the mini map on zoom all the way and i'd pay attention to the UAV and sneak knife them o and be a medic cause you can hold med bag when they shoot shoot at you OR be an irratating spawn killer
but o well i'm working on getting both expert pistol and knife badges.....

I got 6 knife kills in a row yesterday, All you need to do is get behind the enemy when there on there last flag, You will be suprised how many don't notice you. Mashtuur is a good one for this.

I havn't tried yet but i'm hoping to wait for the BlackHawk to spawn for usmc on Mashtuur & when everyone is trying to get in i'll run in & gun loadsa kills, Anyone tried this, I think it would work because there all to busy pressing EEE

Hope it's informative. Suggested kits for getting basic pistol would be Sniper or Special Ops because of the silenced pistol and recommended kit for the knife badge would be medic. I got both my badges on Karkand but found that strangely enough Wake Island can be good for knifing too, as can Sharqui. For the knife you might want to start getting as many of those easy kills in now as possible to build up your knife kills over 50 because then you will qualify for Veteran knife and you will be awarded basic and veteran knife in the same instant when you finally get your 7 kills in.

Check out the video in the other thread too, might give you a few ideas about being more efficient at knifing.

You should be medic and go down on Karkand to the first flag. That alley way right there spawns alot of people. Hide behind the corner let them spawn then kill them and repeat. For the pistol, it was easy for me to get the vet pistol because I already had over 50 kills with it when I got the basic P badge and when I killed 2 more, vet P badge. I got all the requirements for first seargeant in 1 day. P badge, aim for the head. Knife badge, don't let anyone know that your there or you will have to give up your little killing place to go hide.

Believe it or not, I got my basic and veteran knife badges (both at once) on Wake Island of all places. I played medic and my team only held the airbase. There were plenty of bad guys coming into the base in waves and I tried to stay off to the side and angle into them as they were firing into the base. People get tunnel vision when there are so many targets to shoot at.

i got both basic and vet knife at wake island. It was pretty easy. What i did was stalk any enemy i saw. just run behind an enemy and stab. Best to sneak behind.
