BUT the G3 is GREAT for sniping...i did it on surge and it was AWESOME

The G36C is a great weapon, but I still prefer the M4, AKS and QBZ-95 over the G36C, more stopping power.

All the carbines have the same "stopping power". The only differences are in accuracy and recoil (where QBZ-97 and G36c rule, followed by SCAR-L).

I'd say the G3 is a more significant change compared to the PKM. PKM is just more accurate but lower damage (per second) compared to vanilla LMGs. G3 means full-auto for USA assault class and hand grenades instead of GL (which some people prefer). Also the G3 means you have access to the F2000 2nd tier unlock if you have SF. F2000 means a full-auto rifle with GL for USA which is also a significant change.

I personally prefer the G3 although I do very well with both weapons. I have to disagree with the guy who says the G3 is great for sniping, on single shot it is not uncommon to use about 4 shots before hitting something prone long distance. The G3 is definately the best medium range gun, short of taking a grenade in the face. The PKM also tears through people if you're prepared for a firefight. I think the burst accuracy with it is good while prone, however standing with it, you pretty much have to be on their body to hit. The reason I prefer the G3 over the PKM is mostly due to the face you can fire it from any position whereas the PKM you NEED to be prone to be effective.

As for the SCAR-L and MP7, the MP7 tears through clips and doesn't do much damage to be worth it. Plus I believe its damage is getting reduced in the patch and its clip size increased. The SCAR-L has nice accuracy on the first couple shots and with the red dot scope you can snipe people like with the M4, however the recoil on that gun is madness. I've gone nearly full auto at people right next to me and been unable to finish them off.

You have got the G36E and that is probably the best gun on the game in turms of acuracy and power (only my opinion obviously) so I would save the unlocks untill the patch and decide on your weapon then once the guns have all been tweaked a little.

Ok I unlock the PKM and MG36, I have played with both of them on Karkand and the MG36 in my mind is better in terms of an all around MG than the PKM. The PKM is great because of it's firepower but the recoil takes some getting used too. The MG36 performs just like the G36E, but has a bigger clip. In other words the MG36 and PKM both rock!

The PKM is great because of it's firepower but the recoil takes some getting used too. The MG36 performs just like the G36E, but has a bigger clip. In other words the MG36 and PKM both rock!

I dunno, to me, the MG36 has lots of deviation and I find I have to fire SHORT bursts (1-2) at medium/long ranges to get any hits. I guess the PKM just supports my play style a bit more.

SO much wrong info on this forum, for carbines, the G36C, M4, and teh QBZ all do 25 damage, teh Scar does 27, and the AKS-74U does 29. THe G3 is more accurate than the PKM PERIOD. The PKM has unlimited ammo though, so it balances out. I would personally go for the PKM, although the G3 is a great weapon, u don't get much from playing assault with the G3 above what u get for support, u get only a smoke nade advanatage, while support guys get ammo bags for easy points, and unlimited ammo. I would still wait for the patch though, both the LMGs and the G3 are getting accuracy upgrades, and u should wait and find out how much each of them got upgraded by. Anyways, the G36C is a BEASTLY weapon, it pwns all other carbines besides the QBZ. THe QBZ is better for semi-auto, the G36C is better for bursting. IMO, if u were to get an unlock NOW, go for the G36C, u can't go wrong with it. But outta the two, although i like both very much, i would have to say the PKM wins out, but yet IMO, the MG36 pwns both of them.:) :p

pkm is much better. if u use will in prone (z) it is extremely accurate. plus the only weapon that can defeat u in close range is the dao. so, u can pick people off from far away or kill most people at close range.

Well, the MG36, has a lower min deviation (better accuracy in all), but at the cost of damage, it does the weakest damage per second. I personally also prefer the MG36 over the PKM, but i know people that are avid support playerz that love the SAW, people think of guns differently. People conect with certain guns, like one guy was a sergeant major and he was REALLY good at spec ops (constantly over 80 points on the leaderboard for a 32p karkand server), i asked him why he used the M4 instead of the G36C, he said that it was because he liked the spray pattern of the M4 better. ANyways, nice choice firezip, i don't think u'll be disappointed at all with ur unlock pics.
