Yeah, thing about BF2 is that if a vehicle or aircraft shows up- it would be stupid not to take cover- thats why the chopper sound or jet sounds can help give away the presence of an incomming aircraft; take cover- spot the threat, and those who are capable of taking care of it might just help you out. You as infantry should be dealing with a more realistic threat- like other infantry or perhaps vehicles if you have the right ordinance. I do wish that there are anti-air kits though... I mean, there IS such a thing as anti-air missile that can be used and carried around by infantry, right? At least infantry could be given a chance to fight back at aircraft, rather than limit them to fighting other infantry only.

In real life- people (including civillians :P) take cover anyways if they see something like a tank or aircraft come around- and they have tactics devised to deal with these.

But of course in computer games we get those dummies who go: "I am MAN! I kill tank with bare hands and knife!"

Must tell something., I'm not tottaly infrantry because the best way to learn to play is using the vehicle of the enemy and learn the advance and disadvantge.

I'm good in infrantry, In heli's, I most only learn how to strafe with keyboard.(360 degrees).
And with planes, how do you bom your enemey in best way.

If you know that, you could encouter that if you are in a vehicle

I don't think the problem lies with the planes, its with the pilots. Bombers are there to take out ground targets - which we all know they do rather well

To balance out the bombers, the programmers put in fighters to take out the bombers. Trouble is, its too easy to hit ground targets - even the fighter pilots use their MGs to brass up the ground - so everyone in any kind of plane goes after ground targets.

I've NEVER seen a dogfight.

Not using an AA= the set of mind.

Not learning to use a AA= the set of mind.

What DICE should have done is to make it fun to use an AA, thats thy noone wiches to waste his time learning to use it properly. Its not just a fire and forget weapon.

Ah... well- I've been forming a local squad with my BF buddies, and we've been formulating tactics to counter vehicles and aircraft- on foot- and perhaps with nearby vehicles and facilities.

Why dont plane pilots fly a real sim, Like Falcon 4 if they want to fly?

I do... But BF2 has more than just plain flying and aerial dogfights.... BF2 offers infantry battles, tank fights and well, many more. I do enjoy playing Falcon 4.0 AA, and also Flight Simulator 2004, but BF2 is more fun... :laugh:

just like you say i play flight sims but bf2 is more fun to bomb a tank or apc and thats why i play bf2 some1 like to fly in chopper and a ohter1 likes
to drive in tank bf2 has much to offer for everone and that is what i like
so much in bf2

The AA is pitiful, the helos are useless against the jets. Infantry do not have shoulder fired AA weapons. There is a complete lack of balance.
What is really amazing is when im sniping on wake island, completely hidden from enemy inf, tanks, jeeps who pass me by, however a jet will come out of thin air and MG me where i lie.
Its times like this I really miss DC, and DCX. I realise there are some very skilled pilots out there, however there should at least be one sure way to counter them from the ground, because your teams pilots are too busy racking up points on bombing runs against defenselss ground forces than face their adversarys in the air.

The way I see it, planes are the balance to the armor whores out there, after some frustrating rounds of karkand I like to play some daqing or oman and rape every tank I see. It balances it out for me :)

The fact some people think there's a balance and things are fine, probably means they are enjoying the game more than we do, like they say "a fool's paradise"
I wouldn't waste my breath trying to explain the gameplay issues, since they wouldn't know about gameplay balance even if it hit them in the face.

yeah as i play this game more and more, i see that there are fewer noobish teams and more teams adaptive to precision tank killing and apv killing. Its no longer beneficial to use those vehicles.....If 1 team has good flyers and the other team can't take them out its a win for airpower. Its a shame that thats what wins in most maps. There are alot of weopons designed to take out helicoppers and planes missing in this game. how about sam trucks... also the maps should have more hiding points like real war. But for the most part orginazation, coordination and teamwork wins most matches, couple that with airpower and you have dominance... its a shame not every team can do that ...lol.All i know is i hate playing well and losing cause my team is disorganized. This game gives me fits sometimes but i still play daily!

If u dont like it dont play , or abuse it ur self its there to be used.
