Friggin Airpower!

I see BF2 as having 2 main maps:

Infantry and tank maps.

I mainly play the urban maps but once in a while I fancy a bit of tank pounding............why oh why do i have to put up with being bombed every 2 second on those maps with dominant airpower??

I actually like those open maps where you can travel around in a tank, and do some blasting. At least Songhua (sp)? isnt spoiled!

Why dont plane pilots fly a real sim, Like Falcon 4 if they want to fly?

I know I'm going to hear the old "oh buts a modern battle field you fool" replies, but the planes really do spoil the action.

Get to flag....get bombed....travel to flag.....get bombed......find another free flag....get bombed.....spawn.....get bombed

Why dont plane pilots fly a real sim, Like Falcon 4 if they want to fly?

Why don't you play a golf sim if you don't want to be bombed?

So why waste your energy responding if you're sick of these threads? Anyway, yes, there are a lot of these threads, but I do understand the original poster's frustration and all he's doing is venting.

Let him vent and hopefully with the arrival of 1.2 things will improve for the ground pounders. In the meantime I'd suggest staying well clear of the air power dominated maps like Gulf of Oman and Operation Cleansweep.

I also hate the air domination. I don't have a clue why terroser says it gives balance. Once you've masterded the flying skill there is absolutely no balance at all. Only thing that can kill a plane is a plane.

If there were balance pilots would not end a round with a 50:0 K/D.

I don't want to whine about it cause it's an aspect of the which, i agree, i can't change. But can a pilot tell me what after a while the challenge in the game is for them??????

But I don't get bomd by planes very often because if i get a lock always do smoke (not always) and ride forward an backward or any other directions wich give a good cover.

Maby if you see a plane right for you. use your smoke and go forward.
then the bombs will explode not on you but from the back.

Why: pilots must time there bombing for a great spot.
and if they want to precise the bomming they will dive and bom you.

this is weaknes because if you know where he is comming you must ride forward this will lead pilots to crash in the grounds sometimes and most of the time missing you

because you are riding forward they must adjust the angle like 160/180 degrees (if they are diving). so it's much harder.

and if you see a plane and he want's to bom you and you are riding. just stop riding ^^
one of my favorite because they are focusing on a riding tank not a tank that suddenly stop riding.

And if you are in a map with planes who have two seets and 5 bombs.
Just get many cover from objects. and always ride. to the left or right side ( straight line bombing)

balance like tank raping.....
it is very easy it you know that planes can not bom you.

And with one apc and a tank both engineers. (They will suck you the hole round)

Agreed - totally aimless whingey-whiny threads should be banned. If there's a major flaw in the game that should be brought up... sure.

But if you're here to complain about how the M95 is too powerful or that the bombers can blow sh1t up because it has bombs and missiles, or that AT should only be shooting their missiles at vehicles or WHATEVER it is that's really about how poorly you cope with the elements of the game... Stop and go whine somewhere else... please. There's too many people who post threads who say "oh, this is too powerful" or "this is too weak". All I care is- fighters, choppers and other vehicles etc, including infantry can be killed or destroyed; there's no need to complain and have a cry about it. Even spawn campers can be taken care of - people just don't have the patience to spawn somewhere else and communicate with their commander/squad leader about dealing with them.

Try this- play on smaller servers where there's a slight less emphasis on vehicles and more on infantry.

Yeah, actually- TotalBF2 should have a whole other section cordoned off for threads like these. For people who want to 'vent' as MrJambo says. Too many people here want to 'vent' and it really gets in the way of other people who don't have a problem and rather share the better parts of the game with each other.

If you really want to complain and vent- do it constructively; why not come up with an idea of having a server filter option that disables vehicles which makes the battle 'infantry only'? or maybe a server filter option that disables aircraft- so it's vehicles and infantry only? (Even though Karkand already has that down-pat) it's better than letting everyone know how much you suck at coping with the airpower. I get ****ed off too in some parts of the game- but so does everyone else... no one needs to dedicate a thread to it.

I use the smoke to cover me..
and to let guess the pilot wich directions I will go.

And also not forget...

the F15 with 5 bombs and 2 seets are deadly I know.
But try to go to places where there are much enemy's so they can not bom the place easy.. (for you know they have 5tks )

Yeah, thing about BF2 is that if a vehicle or aircraft shows up- it would be stupid not to take cover- thats why the chopper sound or jet sounds can help give away the presence of an incomming aircraft; take cover- spot the threat, and those who are capable of taking care of it might just help you out. You as infantry should be dealing with a more realistic threat- like other infantry or perhaps vehicles if you have the right ordinance. I do wish that there are anti-air kits though... I mean, there IS such a thing as anti-air missile that can be used and carried around by infantry, right? At least infantry could be given a chance to fight back at aircraft, rather than limit them to fighting other infantry only.

In real life- people (including civillians :P) take cover anyways if they see something like a tank or aircraft come around- and they have tactics devised to deal with these.

But of course in computer games we get those dummies who go: "I am MAN! I kill tank with bare hands and knife!"

I think the planes are fine the way they are. But some of my clanmates are among the best pilots in the game.

The best times are on Daqing Oilfields or Wake when we steal every single plane and just bomb the crap out of anything that moves.
