    Re: no reviving

I have been shouted at for bringing someone back , so next time i will try and use my mind reading ability and see when the arty comes or if they dont have any ammo left, there should be an option , we see a medic simble above the folks , remove it for those that want more deaths than kills brill idea, saves me the bother sacrificing myself all the time.......

I agree that sometimes it can be a bit of a pain if you are laying there thinking ok, i need to be a whatever now to get rid of that tank/sniper/asswipe and then some medic jumps on you and revives you so die again straight away. It has happened to us all from time to time, but, when you are a medic running around like mad and you see someone go down the first thought is to revive them mostly without thinking of the consequences. You are just trying to do what you think is for the best at that time. I agree that a DNR button would be helpful but you can't blame the medics for doing what they are there for!
Oh, and btw, just want to say SORRY for this afternoon when i was merrily throwing medic bags about during a firefight, got distracted by the tv for a second and threw a grenade into my squad!!! OUCH.

Finally someone who understands what I'm talking about.
I disagree on one thing. I'm almost always playing Strike at Karkand and in that map, the situation is almost always hot. So a DNR-button would be very nice for me. And also for the medics, because they can see that I don't want to be revived. So they won't have to endanger themselves.

That said it is still annoying for the player and as a medic player I have learned to be more careful (and less suicidal) in reviving people, this is both to be better at the job and to get a better K/D for my self. So if you go down in the open and are still under fire I will not dash out to revive you until we get some fire gown on the enemy first...

You lose a ticket every time you respawn? I did not know this. I thought you had to capture or retain the flags. How else can you lose tickets?

Leave them in your pants pocket and run them through the wash. That tends to lose 'em good.
                  :p

                  Ahem.

The only ways to lose tickets are by teammates dying or being forced into ticket bleed.

Lots of people don't understand how bleeding works either.

On assualt maps, the attackers bleed as long as they don't control ANY of the defender's flags. The defenders ONLY bleed if they've lost ALL their flags.

On double domination the side that controls more than half of the flags forces the other into bleed.

That's it. There's no other great mystery.
It would be nice if more players understood this. Maybe we'd see fewer people flinging themselves into certain doom by rushing after flags that aren't going to help win the round.

Thanks for the info Wargimp, but let's get back to the problem at hand.

Reading all the posts, I don't think there's a solution to my problem.

If you open the kit select menu medics cannot revive you

They can, and you revive with that blocking your vision :)
If a medic revives me I'm going to make the best of it, if I go down then well, its no big deal really - as long as it doesn't happen too often and the medic tries to kill whatever gets you the second time.

Just suicide and deal with the -2 points if it really bothers you.

This topic is not about "dealing with it". It's about my question "can I prevent medics from reviving me?"
Maybe there is no answer, because nobody knows....

Just keep hitting PageDown= No Way Man! if you do not want to be revived if you see/hear the medic. Hopefully he will understand.
