I'm playing Battlefield 2 and Special Forces. Most of the time I'm shooting a pathway for my clan or online players through the frontlines (with my supportkit) and that's why I find myself most of the time in a situation where bullets rain down on me like drops of rain in a thunderstorm. And that's where my problem begins. A lot of medics like to revive me in these situations and as a result I'm being shot down again on the same spot and another 10 precious seconds are waisted.


I think this can be fixed by adding an option (key) which makes it impossible for medics to revive you (after pressing that key). What do you guys think of this?

Firstly, there must be a million threads discussing this.

Secondly, while I agree that sometimes it's annoying, esp when you want to die so you can change kit because a tank rolled in, or your squad needs an engineer,etc.., I also think that until such a button is added, medics should continue to risk their lives to revive me whenever they possibly can.

you can do suicide, then they can't revive you I think .

And this doesn't only happen in SF .

But don't wurre, when you get shot, they revive you, well this doesn't count as death , you only get a death when you do pass the 15 sec

That is right, it only counts as a death if you full 15secs pass and your team only loses a ticket when you respawn. So you can be revived and gunned down multiple times in a row and it will still only count as one death in the end.

That said it is still annoying for the player and as a medic player I have learned to be more careful (and less suicidal) in reviving people, this is both to be better at the job and to get a better K/D for my self. So if you go down in the open and are still under fire I will not dash out to revive you until we get some fire gown on the enemy first...

I must say it happend to me to, when reviving someone, we both get shot again , but I did look .
I do not revive blindly , I look first , if there is still an enemy there I will (try) kill him first and then revive the teammate .

forgot, but what I also do, when I shoot someone, and I see a medic rushing in, I do wait untill he revives his teammate and shoot them both , that will teach him to be a pointless reviver

But wouldn''t it be better to let the medic know if you want to be revived or not? I think so. On top of changing kits, I'm waisting seconds if they keep reviving me.

But medics have no certain way of knowing either what the dead person wants or whether it's safe to revive. Some situations are pretty clear...if you're being raped by an attack chopper, armor, etc. chances are pretty good both of you will die. If someone is standing around the body or I see what happened (sniped) I'll try to make the area safe and then revive.

Sorry but this isn't your choice to make. If a medic can save you, saving your team a ticket then it's his job to revive you.
