I don't know what Chinese you speak, but the in game Chinese voice talent is terrible. Mandarain is the standard lauguage of Chinese military, but the voices are heavy Cantonese accented, which reminds us the language most bad guys spoke in Chinese movies. Translation is OK but not good enough too.

It's certainly better than Chinese Commanders.

Here is one of my old posts about the poor Chinese voice.

The Chinese voice talent in BF2 is horrible, hardly any Chinese gamer can understand what the stupid voices (both male and female) is talking.

For example, "Enemy spotted" was pronounced like "Enemy found dead", and "you need to fight harder or I will find someone who will" sounds like " If you don't fight, I will find myself a prostitute!"

Here are some voices no one could understand what was really said. It was a joke and makes me crazy hearing it, I simply turn off Chinese voice.

        发现敌仁暴毙!
        发现敌仁装假切!

"No way man" is translated litteraly into "that is impossible" which sounds like a good choice to me.

DICE obviously worled harder than Truma Studios on the translation. I almost ROFL when I remember "Hada Howa" = "Roger that". The litral translation of "hada howa" in DesertCombat is "This is him!" which has nothing to do with Roger!

i think the chinese in BF2 is the mandarin with taiwanese accent and diaglect.
I agree. The Mandarin does have a heavy Taiwanese accent. However, even though "kuai kuai kuai" is to the counterpart to the phrase "go go go", it really means "quick quick quick."

I also find the chinese VO's terrible. It's barely understandable at times. Eg Can anyone make out what are they saying when they say "Let's move"?

The voiceovers tend to lack any sense of urgency compared to the American VO's.

                    Eg,
                    前效挤飞员,现在讲话之中.我们输了这个酱,你一定要打,不盐我要找另外淫了.

This is the "You must fight or else I would find someone else who can" line. It sounds more like the person is reading off the script.

There was a thread about USMC voice acting (many people said IT sounded too relaxed) so it must be pretty bad.

It is funny to compare how the American's and MEC sound when they say "I need artillery support over hear sir!" While the Americans scream it at the top of their lounges (with good reason, because if you need an artillery strike in your area chance are you're in a pretty bad situation) the MEC soldier sounds like he's asking for money to buy a soda or something.

In-game the term used is 火砲 = Hua Pao (someone can correct me about the pinyin here, I'm a bit rusty)

I wouldn't say it's wrong, but to me 火砲 is more commonly known to me as cannon but can be used in context as artillery.

the usage of artillery is right, and the announcement of "OPEN FIRE" sounds pretty good in Chinese.
