Your post didn't indicate how many times it happens.

My point is That kind of situation doesn't happen often.

So do we but what ends up happening some times is that you end up being the only squad on your team and everyone else is lone wolfing it and the other team has 2 or three squads working together and pretty soon you are down to one cp and it's spawn kill central. Unfortunatly even one very good squad cannot compensate for the rest of the team if you are the only ones listening to the commander or trying to occomplish objectives. If there was some sort of incentive or reward for being in a squad and completing task as a squad then even the ranked servers would have more people working together to get their team to win. As it is right now, people only care about themselves and whatever is in their best intrest, not the teams.

There is a reward for working as a team, fun, unfortunatley that isn't reflected as points for the people concerned with the ranks, etc.

I don't think there could ever be a perfect system to reward teamwork in the form of points, as teamwork is more of a concept than a specific deed.

However, since I play for fun, and not for badges and ranks, BF2 is an amazingly fun game when played on the tacticalgamer.com server.

THAT IS THE BEST TEAMWORK IDEA EVER!! Cheers because that is a good idea. Squad switching wouldnt be a problem if most of the team where already in there squads with medics and support guys! A good squad can take care of itself with a good leader. Now your only challenge is getting this idea out there and loud enough that someone who matter hears it!(EA forums maybe)

The best way to influence team work is show to people how it works, make a squad, invite people, give them orders, and use voice ip. Once they relaize how great it is to have teamwork they will crave for it. Everytime I get in a squad and everyone is using voip I have like a little party!

              *so proud of himself now*:)

I think one important thing is my theory can only improve gameplay for everyone. It won't cause too much of changes for casual players. It can be a plus for people who hope for more teamworks out of the current battlefield society.

I don't have an EA fourm account, perhaps someone with an account can bring this idea to EA? :)

Good idea in concept, but I can see it ending up with rambo squads, filling up the list, then unfortunatly no teamwork in squads =(

For the OP how about reversing the way it works... Instead of extra reward for teamplay, how about a penalty for lonewolfing. How about setting it so you can not score Team Points unless you are in a squad or are the commander. Anyone can score combat points just fine and lonewolves can still cap flags but they don;t get points for it...

Having said that though, if we are gong to be that draconian then why not simple auto-join lonewolves into unloacked squads with spare places after a certain time period...

You shouldn't be punished for how you choose to interact with your team, especially if you're still working towards the same goal as everyone else by capping flags and providing ammo.

You teamwork thumpers need to chill out.

It's a decent idea - but it broods padding. I can just imagine 8 people creating squads and locking them right away so that no one else can join them.

It is worth looking into - but definitely needs some tweaking.

By having others join your team won't cause yourself get kicked out of your team. Why would people lock the team to prevent others to join?

Clans often do this on public servers. Two or three members working together. Personally I don't see anything wrong with this...

It is a nice idea but a little impractical and missing the fact that some people like to lonewolf it in the game and don't want to be penalized for it. It would be nice to get a bit more of a boost out of squad to encourage more teamplay but if it is too heavy handed it will simply annoy people...
