We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.

I have seen playes who are suspicisouly good...displaying skills that seem to go beyond what the game engine itself allows.
I can't say I've seen a definite cheater, but I've experienced the above. Generally never call someone a cheat because it's highly likely they aren't and you just look like a n00b.

I can't say I've ever experienced anything that I would blatently call a cheat. I've had a couple of questionable things happen to me, but can I definitely call them cheating, no.
As far as one shot kills and head shots, I've gotten plenty myself, even outside of view distance. If your target doesn't move, it's not that crazy to think you can still hit him if you can't see him. I've also had lots of one-shot kills that were total luck and I'm sure the guy was screaming "aim bot." I've been accused of wall hacking, but I was simply hiding in a spot that the guys couldn't see and lobbing grenades in on top of them.
I know a lot of guys say PB sucks, but it's my feeling that it does a pretty good job - at least on any type of hack that is publicly available. I'm sure there are guys out there who come up with their own and don't get caught, but the odds of running into them with 20,000+ players are pretty slim.

As an admin it is virtually imposible to catch a hack, reason is the tools,It is not like bfrm of which will take a screen shot in the hacks position and what he sees , the bf2 admin facilities are not as good ,
Just being clever and watch in death mode , seeing if they know where the enemy is whithout uav or spotting. ive been on a special forces server and seen this guy lie down behind a wall so me as sniper wait for him to pop up but no he came through the wall and shot me, now i have tried doing what he does but i cant go through walls , it wasnt my server so not my call so i left.
someone should design a program like battlefield remote management so we can send messages with a right click of the mouse and kick for different reasons.
punkbuster take thousands of screenshots ever day and go through these with a fine tooth comb and then they get cought. if you check out www.punksbusted.com there is a list of banned players .

Because the old "OMG YOU CAN'T CALL THEM HACKERS!!" argument and insistence on obscure jargon is getting old and boring, fast.
The media WILL keep calling "crackers" and "script kiddies" HACKERS, no matter what; game-players will keep calling cheaters that use external modifications HACKERS, no matter what; and in the end it doesn't matter the least, because all parties involved know exactly what is meant and the terminology therefore works perfectly.

The only people I know who can also do that are the single player bots - they definitely hack with shotguns. They cant snipe you but dear god they can shotgun you from the same range and more, hehe.
Online I have never -seen- anyone truly hacking though sometimes of course I have my suspicions, most likely because I've been owned hard a few times by the same people.

I saw my first hack yesterday... but this was one of the first time I played on an unranked server so I didn't really care.
I'm pretty sure it was in the totalbf2 server that is running the new map pack...
The guy had an undestructible jeep!!! I was in a tank and stoping everyone but he wasn't even afraid of me! Got two straight shots right on the jeep and he wasn't even smooking!

Its funny, I sometimes run into someone at medium to close range, and we run around each other shooting trying to kill each other... Sometimes we both get to reload, before one of us dies. usually when 2 spec ops meet, its not unusual.
However Ive suspected aimbot when in one game, I kept getting killed by one guy. 1st time, came around a corner and saw each other.. maybe 20 yards, I immediately hit the ground, just as I did, he does a dolphin dive, and while hes in mid-air im dead in one shot before he even hits the ground and before I can even click the mouse button to fire.
He did this repeatedly about 5 times to me during that game.. Is anyone really that good?
The second time things seemed strange to me..
Im in a tank 50+ yards of open space between me and the plaza hotel in Karkand. This guys runs out from the hotel and sees me and goes prone..
He then goes from prone to high in the air (like hes in mid jump) to prone again to mid air to prone, like 10 times.. Im firing away main gun and machine guns I cant hit him. THere's like no animation at all between him being flat on the ground and being in mid jump 6 ft off the ground.. He's like a frigging frog, leap leap leap leap, exact same timing every leap. 10 leaps and hes got C4 on my tank im dead.. and all directly in front of me in my line of fire.
Since ive never seem that before so perfectly, I figure no-ones got fingers that fast and perfect. I accused him of using macros, had to be! I think I scared him cuz I didnt see him do that again that game, and our team killed him a number of times after that. Fluke?

The other night on Ghost Town, some scumbag was using an aimbot, he was carrying the G36C, and he kept killing people with single shots from incredible ranges, while he was jumping, walking, etc. People who cheat should DIE!

The only times I've suspected someone to hack, is when the turned a corner with their guns-a-blaze killing me instantly. But then I catch myself thinking HAXXOR and realise that he probably had UAV over the area.
Anyway, the way to deal with cheateras is this:
Kill them, Taunt them, Teabag/Corpsehump them for a while. Problem solved.
