I wish I could be this optimistic, but have you seen the number of members of a popular website that sells hacks (which will remain unnamed)? I'm willing to bet that 10% of the players currently use a hack of some sort and will stand by this number until the unnamed website is shutdown and the hacks detected.
I'll bet you're right. Until then, they are still noobs at heart, and warrant for our pure skill pwnage.
Re: am i the only one who hasent seen a person hack?
I see that very frequently. I think the problem is that some people cannt tell when they "see" a hack.
For example if someone keeps killing you with one shot while you were running... or if you see a weapon flashing/firing when no one is there or when you see someone flashing in front of you for a fraction of a second then disappear... and so on. I see all of these things very frequently.
Re: am i the only one who hasent seen a person hack?
Ive seen peoples use exploits to get inside objects a couple times. There are a couple of times I heavily suspected aimbots. You dont just get that many 1 shot headshots in a row. Most of the time they are hard to detect though. The people who use them usually suck anyways because cheats cant give them superior tactical skills.

Just start a thread called "Whiny Bit-ches who think that everybody hacks because my stats suck", and i'm sure you'll get plenty of positive responses!one1
Re: am i the only one who hasent seen a person hack?
I don't think I have met many cheaters in BF2 so far that I was aware of. And as somebody else already said chances are very high that you're still going to kick his ass because of the UAV "wallhack".
Can somebody please explain to me why you all are calling cheaters "hackers"? What does the one got to do with the other? A cheater doesn't hack. He cracks the game by downloading and installing some little *.exe file which in most cases has a trojan, virus or rootkit included. Not even the guy writing the *.exe is a hacker. It has nothing to do with hacking. Only little low-life script-kiddies which are not capable of using their knowledge in a productive, and helpful manner do this kind of "work".
So please give them the name they deserve, not hacker.
I am sure that half of those brainamputated kids are even flattered if they hear the word hacker in relation to them self.

Haven't encountered any, ever. I haven't even encountered people where I'd suspect it.
Most cries for "hack" occur when someone snipes people at the edge of the fog ("omg no fog! haxx!"), scores headshots with the AK-47 ("wtf one shot kill ak! haxx!") or when someone uses the TV missile right ("omg no fog + aimbot! haxx").
As a whole, I think the actual occurences are marginal in number.
Re: am i the only one who hasent seen a person hack?
There have been hacks out since the demo first hack i ever saw was before the game was even released in the UK (it was released in the UK a couple of days after the US release date). And that was a godmode hack ive only ever seen this twice once in the demo and once in the original version of BF2 when the 1.01 patch was recalled. Also during the 1.02 patch i saw the madest hack you could imagine. A guy was able to be transported form his posistion back to his origianl spawn point and change class in mid air while doing this. It was so weird it looked like something out of the matrix he literaly flew backwards and changed class in mid air. Ive actually seen more hacks than stat padders ive been on 3 servers with stat padders and proberly 4 or 5 servers with hackers. Although i have to say that ive not seen a deffinate hacker in a long time ive been certain someone was hacking but couldnt tell a couple of times though . I do have to say though for the most part BF2 isnt that overrun with hackers there thew and far between. And i realy do hope it can manage to stay that way it takes no skill what so ever to cheat and just generally ruins peoples enjoyment when you encounter one.
Re: am i the only one who hasent seen a person hack?
I usually go on PunkBuster Servers, never seen anyone who actually hacked on 1 so the PB servers are safe.
Most of the time like someone said here its just n00bs accusing peeps of hacking because they suck and the people being accused is Good, if anyone aclls me a hacker (which they did in other games) will be a not an insult but a compliment.

I dont generally i preffer to call them cheaters but it is a commonly missed used term thats used in every online game so the noobs can understand what your on about. Look at the news on the TV there always calling people hackers that dont fall into the deffinition of what a hacker is hacker = bad person with computers to most people that dont know what there on about.

I didn't know that this word was also associated with gaming terminology until I started playing BF2.
Cheaters used to be called cheaters - plain and simple - back in the days. And I think that's the only name they truely deserve.
Media tries to keep us people dumb and ignorant. The right terminology isn't important as long as it sounds shocking, sales, and revenue goes up.
