Iam hearing alot about noob tubes at the mo but why are they so bad I have just unlocked the F2000 and its ok but its not like the noob tube can really do anything more than c4 or nades or tanks or anyother explosive. I dont think its noobish in BF2 to use it, however in other games such as COD1 the infamous noob tube was a big problem because it was just messy. I cant see many people comenting on this but I would like to actualy see just how many people dont like the F2000 and other such "noob tubes" If its really that bad then I shall use it less but I would like to see why it is unfair.

it is unfair because its one of those instant kill guns that doesnt deal any damage to the person shooting the grenade...grenades are timed so theyre harder to use and c4 takes time to pull out the control button to set it off..andnoob tubing is called that way because if u were to go into close range fighting and see an enemy, all it tkaes is one click and u get a kill, which mite seem like fun, but its really cheap and the game isnt about shooting grenades at ur feet and kill everyone around u except not urself -

dont worry about it, if you want to use the toob go ahead and use it because frankley i would much rather see a toober than a c4 thrower

I use to use the GL (bunnyhopping too) a lot until I recently unlocked the G36E. I feel so dirty using the G36E...
I still use the GL from time to time when I plan on taking groups of enemies.
I don't really see any unbalances here, the GL has its drawbacks and it can be countered.Comment

Not to worry, it's being nerfed with the upcoming patch, the same with the C4 tossers.
I also get ****ed off when I'm sniped by a medic. It's just stupid. The G36E transforms the Medic kit into a special ops with healing and revival instead of C4.
But meh. Noob tubes are a nuisance, but they won't be for too much longer.Comment

After 1.2 Noob tube will be fun to use across corners, people won´t even see who has shoot the nade.I think it will be much more harder to use...and maybe it will be even more deadly if used by pro´s.Comment

its how you use the "noob-tube" that makes it a noob-tube. there is nothing "noob" if you use it as it was ment to (ie grenade vs light vehicles , or for mid/long range looping on enemy infantry.
"noob-tube" is referred to those guys shooting at proximity range, often killing themselve with the enemy.Comment

I was playing around in SP last night (waiting for my favourite server to populate) when I saw something to make me rethink this whole noobtube thing... It was Karkand (16 player) and on expert (which is pretty good for practice I discovered) and I definitely saw one of the US bots run up to a MEC bot outside the Hotel flag and noobtube him quite deliberately... :O
Now admittedly the US bot did not jump while he did this but still, it could be used as evidence for this tactic being considered valid!!
OT - It also lead me to wonder how the SP bots are going to hand the changes in the patch and whether any the booster pack maps will be available for SP...Comment

Ineffable truth. The medic class was powerful enough without a rifle that rivaled the G36C in effectiveness. The accuracy of the carbines was one of the few things the special ops class had going for it, but the G36E is every bit as good as anything the special ops class can offer, so all that's really unique to the class now is C4. The dozen people that play special ops during any round need to unlock the G36E and play medic so we don't have four medics in a 32-man team.Originally posted by FlyingEggComment

use of noob tube is for noobs who can't aim, simple as that .
They run around with the thing in close combat situations, they use it because they know they will loose a firefight with bullets (lack of aiming) .
then they sometimes use it this noobisch they kill themselves when they want to shoot the enemy .
why unfair, well, you run around with your weapon, you meet a noob tuber, before you can even start fireing they is a nade on it's way killing you .
you guys destroy the gameplay , tell me, how much fun is the start on karkand ?? where the only thing you here is noob tubes fireing and nades exploding , ow man this is fun, just trow nades and fire the stuff, maybe you guys must start playing casino games instead of FPS gamesComment
