What gets on my nerves a bit is that big red name above my head. Say I'm infantry (assault or medic, or support) and tyring to hide from some annoying tank. He looks around, doesn't see me, but see's my name poking above the sandbags I'm hiding behind. BOOM! I'm dead!
I agree with that, but there is an even worse side to it. Friendly tags glow stronger than enemy ones and sometimes cover important details of the action. Also, I've been killed many times because I look at a guy that has one of my teammates behind him and I see my friendly's glowing blue tag above his head, not the enemy's red tag.

I've been there. The friendly tag show up right away and far distances and the enemy takes a while. I had some friendly kills because they were so close together. It is really difficult when you are switched teams and have to get used to reconizing the right uniforms.

        Simple fix.

Just show a tag for friendly player. Enemies show no tags. Pretty darn simple if you ask me. Surprised Dice hasn't figured this out.

UAV is very helpful to the commander and squad leaders, and anyone defending an area. Its a nuisance to anyone trying to use stealth. But, keep in mind, the design of this game is for it not to be a one-man-do-all game. If you're a sniper getting spotted constantly on UAV, then work as a team and get someone to take out the commander assets so you don't get spotted then splatted.

The UAV for me is a great tool for defence and assaulting a flag i really don't see the problem with it both sides get one. This is an arcade game not a sim as someone else was trying to insinuate in one of the post above. If it was a sim would you respawn every 15 seconds after death would a defibrillator bring you back to life after an AK just put 30 rounds in your face ??.

Most people complaining about an aspect of the game do so because they have no other way of dealing with it.

Things like AA not working on the other hand have good arguments. Sometimes it's not possible or feasible to use another plane/heli to take an enemy out. Maybe your air base has been captured and they have 3 planes raping everything. That's when not having remotely useful AA sucks.

According to your logic we should still be playing pong since there was nothing wrong with the game. Why change it? Saying that it's no fun having the enemies show up for you... then duh go somewhere there isn't UAV.

e/ oh and one other thing. This physical UAV plane idea is really annoying. Not only can you blow up the UAV trailer now, you can destory the UAV itself. How useless is it going to be. You might as well have the comm spamm the voice messages with "enemy units spotted!"
"then duh go somewhere there isn't UAV." What a completely foolish statement. Where might that place be? You cant hide from a UAV. DUH

Re: Are you sick of the UAV?

The UAV occupies only a small area of the map. If you feel that it gives you an unfair advantage you just don't go to the area of the map it's currently deployed..... what's not to understand?

Conversly if you're on the opposite team you obviously don't know where their UAV is positioned: you're just going to have to play the game either in a constant state of motion or using your ears.

It's hard to give you plausible solutions considering the already stupid nature of the original problem.

UAV is not the problem, its the sat scan that shows every enemy on the map, and then the commander will place the UAv where they see fit. The sat scan is the evil one...and I honestly believe it shouldn't pick up motionless units...for example...the sniper wearing the nice ghillie suit sitting next to a bunch of trees...

i THINKS ITS ONE OF THE BEST FEATURES IN THE GAME.
But after it runs out its back up within 10 secs,

I think it recharges to quickly. It should be slower like supplies.

Now it is the noobtube and C4 chucking and base raping and camping and tank whoring and air vehicles and the UAV.
                            What next?
Next it will be the noobtube and C4 chucking and base raping and camping and tank whoring and air vehicles and assault rifles and knives and pistols and grenades and claymores and shock paddles and mounted gun emplacements and artillery and high altitudes and supply crates and punish zones and other players, until finally DICE agrees to take battlefield 2 out of battlefield 2 to increase the "game balance" and "gameplay value" and all that's left is an empty application window that oddly resembles a plain white slate.
Oh wait, it exists already, it's called notepad.exe and included with every windows version since 95.
Yup... that sums up the whole bunch of complainer no skills that would initiate a vote kick before even attempting to confront the enemy with determination.

This is hopeless. After re-reading your first post I know i'm just going to frustrate myself trying to get someone as linearly minded as yourself. I mean seriously look at that arguement. It isn't even one. You're major point is that " I don't recall feeling the need for a UAV" or something along those lines. I don't think I even have to point out how stupid that is. As far as your latest post is concerned: I suggest you follow your own advice.

Ask a stupid question: get a stupid answer.

Exactly, nothing can match them because they're tools to help the morons who otherwise wouldn't be able to find the nearest building in Karkand, much less a squad. Commander is overpowered, requires NO skills, and is a detriment to the game.

[/QUOTE]The Commander in BF2 considers what other enemy squads may do, and compiles that information into the next command delivered to his squads. If you want to bitch about it, post a link to your stats so we can check out your Commander stats. Otherwise, STFU and wait your turn to Command.

Command? Why would I want to BELITTLE myself to someone who hides in some obscure corner of the map and useless the trivial point-and-click pseudo-hacks to screw the game over? My commander points are somewhere around....36 I think. Go on and use your narrow-minded comments to try and refute me over that, but that's simply because I DO NOT COMMAND. The tools are far too easy to use, and I can even repair them with this magical crate from the Heavens, thus making that effort by the Special Ops soldier useless as well. Why would I want to do something even easier than fly the helicopters?

Just another whiner eh? And adolescent attitude? I do believe you need to review your own presence in this thread with your profanity and rambling at other posters before you attack other people.
