What do you actually LIKE about BF2?

There are so many threads complaining about whats wrong with the game. But with this amount of people playing the game with enough commitment to find all these bug, faults and exploits, there has got to be something that keeps us coming back for more.

So, what do you like about BF2? I'll start:

BF2 is/was my first forray into online gaming, and what I found most satisfying about it was the human element. there is no substitute for a human opponent, or working with other players to achieve a goal, especially if they are people you have never even met before.

It is the human element that keeps me coming back. And all the shooty-shooty

I like how this is the first game(atleast to me) were you can run fly, drive or swim all in the same big map, really sets this game apart from all the other military shooters

The human element, VOIP, the awards, ranks, tanks, helicopters, air attacks, ground force, knocking out UAV and statelite, working as a team, winning, the use of multipy weapons, and it's fun, just to name a few.

there was also tribes 2 with ground and air vehicles :p (5 or 6 year ago). so tat part really isnt "new" :p

what i do enjoy , is that i love this more complex fps style games, that do include somewhat bigger all around tactics and strategy (in opposite to all this boring DM fps out there). Also im looking forward to FH2 mod , which will spice bf2 up by a lot (for me anyway).

I have BF42, and BFvietnam, they are part of the battlefield series, that was what i was talking about

EA games overall have good mapping when it comes to non historical stuff and BF2 does a fine job....... now map balance is another thing..... *walks off*:laugh:

I like most things about the game. The parts that stand out is the ability to do so much in the game. This comes down to the vehicles, kits, and objectives. With all MP games, I like playing against other "humans" as it makes the game unpredictable enough of the time.

But what sets BF 2 apart from the other games I play is the evolution of team work that can be possible. The creation of squads, squad talk, spawning on the SL. In addition, the spotting out of enemies, requesting for meds/ammo allows this game to be more team work oriented. But with most things, people have to be willing to play as a team.

I love all the s**t that goes on.

Yesterday in a buggy on the beach in Gulf of Oman I was gunning, chasing another buggy. My driver bailed, I took over. Saw an enemy, switched to gunner and fragged him only for another buggy to appear when mine was spent. So I ducked behind cover to defend flag and heard their buggy get taken out. But a chopper appears! All of a sudden, out of nowhere a jet kamikazis right into it in front of me!! Then a guy appears around the corner, he's got me. I toss a grenade and scream medic whilst watching it explode around him stopping him from capturing the flag...<sigh>

Good depth with all the different things you can do. Challenging as you can never clock it and there will always be someone better than you. Realism of combat.

I enjoy the pure gayness of it all, you know, squads rubbing up against eachother, planting bombs in peoples tailpipes, greasing my pistol and filling enemies with projectiles. With all the whoring I hear about everyone can get laid for a small fee and rank reduction!!! Gay love 4 all...

Ranks, unlocks, badges, ribbons, etc. Gives you something to work for so you keep coming back.

• Working with your friends, as a team, taking objectives under heavy fire and surviving the onslaught...such a feeling.
• The atmos of the game, the roar of the jets, the rumble of tanks, the whiz of bullet hits, the sudden shock of being hit with Arty.
• The look of the game, the trees, the mist...the detail of the vehicles.
• The "oh crap" moments when you look up and see a bomb coming towards you.
• The buzz of charging a vehicle and slapping C4 on it, and then running away hoping you dont get killed before you can det.
• The frustration of being so close to capping a flag, only to die.
• Taking down a heli with a Rocket...not stinger....so nice to see bodies landing.
• Dogfighting with a good pilot in the skys, dodging AA, gunfire and everything else (wheres the damn padlock view lol)
• Road kills...man v machine...guess who won! :)

The above, and many others are the reason I continue to play. Sometimes I get stressed, but thats probably cos I enjoy it so much. But if the experience is negative, I just step away and take a break, then come back.

Most of all, thankyou to the players on the servers that play this game for the sheer love it. More power to the lot of you, and long may the fun continue.

Most important is the emotions that come free when you are killed
And then to think about the emotion of your opponent when you killed him
That is such a good feeling

What I like about BF2

- it's not just shoot the enemy, deathmatch etc... , you need to cape there bases
- lots of weapons
- lots of vehicles
- good system (medics, engineers, .....)
- has so many features that you keep discovering new tactics end stuff, also the rounds can be totaly difirent then other rounds .
