I have found that on the easy setting it is very easy... once i played SP karkand on USMC to see how fast i could end the round... took me about 4mins
Thats' why it's called easy
i love to practice against bots. True their small arms and assault rifle accuracy sucks badly, but as soon as they get into a vehicle they start pounding the area.
They really have a fair way of playing the game. Usually they pull the knife when close to you. But don't be too sure about that... One guy was capping a flag on Oman so I thought I'd get an easy knife kill. This guy pulled out his tube, and naded me absolutely cold-blooded.
I find that the harder the difficulty level on SP, the AI of the bots doesn't change much, but their accuracy gets exponentially better. On the hardest setting, you'll just get nailed in one shot. With any weapon. Repeatedly.
It is good to get away from all the bunny hopping, noob toobin' scum out there, and it's really nice to see medics, engineers etc doing they're jobs and not running away from you.
That was the best (and worst part) IMO. Everyone doing what they are supposed to do. Exercising their given roles, even in squads. No VOIP, but when given a task...they do it. and I actually did the same for my squad leader when that was my role.
are you serious??? the bots suck while on the ground they cant hit shiat and its funny as hell to just walk backwards and have 10 of them chase you with knives out then pull out the c4....you know the rest
i wanted to start flying in single player but the damn bot didnt even pay attention to anything on the ground and hunted me at every chance, when i couldnt even fly 10 min without crashing this gets very frustrating
I find that the bots suck at small arms combat. On the highest difficulty rating, they have a tendency to fire tank shells at my chopper with frightening precision.
And the knife thing is funny too. It's an interesting way to kill a bot; run close to him so he pulls his knife and then blast him when he charges right into the business end of your rifle. lol
lol i had the time of my life i too was getting owned but then i figured it out pump action shooty vs knife. i won that little skirmish
hmmmm i hope the bots in multiplayer games dont get too smart, if AI gets too smart in games and even on houseware, theres alot of crazy ppl around and one day loads of crazy ppl might end up having sex with their toaster, or their computer.... (wich is not a smart thing to do, so take that smile off from your face).....
u sick ppl... u have a dirty mind.....
anyway yeah the bots on bf2 are quite smart, but AI for me is only for SP games.
you absouletly CANNOT snipe in single player!! unless you have destroyed the arty. I was playing Sharqi single player and was trying to take advantage of the Construction site by sniping from a building across the way. Dont even think about it. I could get about 2 to 3 guys before i was pounded with arty. Thats why you have to take it out =)
i hadnt inet for aroudn 2 weeks , so i played sp aswell. Just as an example , play cleansweap as USMC and good luck. i wanted to raise my skill as pilot a bit , but hell , the enemy fighter (you have a bomber , while mec has the fighter) you have like no chance, and if it isnt the jet who brings you down , it sure is the AA vehicle or GLA's.
