surviving in a tank is very difficult.

Tanks can be killed using:

C4
AT Mines
AT Rockets
Choppers
Jets
Other tanks and APCs
TOW
...

It is a very slow and big target. It keeps telling you "hit me!"

The only vehicle in bf2 which I do not mind adding the "whore" suffix to it is the jet fighter. The AA is terrible and you do not have to work that hard to be "good". Being a "tank whore" needs a lot of skill and attention.

on most map i take whatever asset there is available (if none is there , well im on foot). BUT if i was in a tank/apc/copter/plane and got killed , i 95% sure will spawn at the base i took the vehicle from , as i know it will respawn secondes after me. If that what you call whoring , too bad, i call it "making 100% use of the available assets". tho i've to add , i don't spawn rape or whatever , i go for assisting my team whenever possible, defending flags etc (im usually squad leader , so with a good commander i know where i've to go , otherwise i look myself where help is needed).

however big % of time im on foot anyway .

I will ONLY whore if I'm trying to get a badge. Even then I feel bad that everyone is only seeing me in the tank. That the people I'm killing is ALWAYS by a tank... god that makes me feel cheap. Yeah, I know they are screaming that.

i agree if theres a tank somewere ill get in it and pawn (or maby not pawn but still) but i hate wehn your squad leader is a tank whore who wates all day for a tank and is absolutleyb no good to the only squad with more than one person

I cannot understand how somebody can whore a tank round after round after round after round... Not very versatile players imho.
Tankwhoring in an open air map with jets and helos around is fine, and does require skill. But using tanks in karkand is a joke. Even I who am a really bad tank driver can wrap up a 20:1 k/d ratio on karkand. Keep moving and mowing, and no one will be able to touch you.
And of course since you're the one that got in there first you'll have the rightaway for the rest of the round because tanky baby will spawn seconds after you respawn.

Tank noobs whore because they are too lazy to fight, very stubborn to learn new techniques, and extremely inversatile. They suck at fighting outside the tank, and if the tank isn't available they either disconnect, tk for it, or just hide until it blows up.

Yup. I've been called a tank whore because I was defending a base from most of the MEC team with only a few other guys.

It's like, what am I supposed to do? Go on foot against those odds and leave the vehicle nice and empty for the enemy to hop right in?

I have been kicked by alot of servers for using a tank or if I see another tank person I get into my apc and load it up with c4's and bomb him till he leaves. I mean it's all for fun but some server admins see you doing the apc c4 delivery system they boot you. Especially if they live in the tank not gonna name anyone lol moders server has me perma banned because their tankers didn't approve of the c4 system. But I do agree alot of people lack common sense to take out a tank so they complain. I think with this new patch though it's a huge buff for armor, no c4 throwing over the fence is going to be a little crazy this is coming from a tank ho. But with the p90 and anti tank, it just might be anti tank wars which should be fun.

I consider tank whoring (or plane, heli, etc) when a person keeps spawning back at the vehicle. For the whole round each time they die they wait at their tank and let no one else use it.

Lately I have seen so many tk's over just getting the vehicles. So now I'm ending up just sniping alot of fun. Sure you don't rake up a ton of kills as fast but it's pretty fun.

I spent 33% of my total time in a tank, so i quess i can be called a tank 'whore'.
At the same time i'm an engineer all the time and trying to look out for others. Repairing them when i can. Supporting my team is priority.

So i don't mind for being a tank whore, i like driving a tank

And the feeling you got when you shot down an annoying enemy chopper with your cannon is great :laugh:
