Ok I have no clue why people call it "tank whoring". I think some people are just fed up from getting killed by a tank. Well, tough luck because using a tank is a tactic and you can't kick anyone for using a tactic. Nor can you be mad at anyone for using a tactic. This is a war game, what did you expect EA to not include tanks? I'm sure you've "tank whored" before too.

Yea, there is some skill, i bearly have 60hrs on a tank, when im close to 600hrs total game lol
I leave the tank alone its to easy for me, last time i played in a tank i cleared a post by my self, and killed 25, somehow the whole US team capped one flag lol
I usto play Armor Fist back in the days, and it was an all tank war game, so hitting another tank or APC while moving across the map is easy for meComment

For the benefit of those just joining us, the debate over takn whore/ plane whore has been going on quite a while. The term is not meant for those that enjoy the tank, but rather for those that will hardly ever be found outside of it. When I spawn if there is a tank not being used then I am apt to hop in, as long as there is at least some semblence of parity in the air vs air situation. However you will see people that will just stand at the tank spawn spot waiting for a tank to appear. This is not very good for the team you're on. You will aslo see, or experience team mambers that will tk you so you don't beat them to the tank. If you aren't, or at least don't consider yourself a tank whore then don't let the comments frost you. People throw comments all the time.... but never recognize the behavior in themselves.
Don't sweat it, just enjoy the parts of the game that you like =)Comment

It's not that hard to understand, people that jump into a tank and spawn camp the entire map is annoying as hell. It's great if you are in the tank, but for the other 31 people, not so great. It's annoying to from the prespective fo teamwork, that a tankwh0re will not get out to help cap a flag, or stop to heal you, give you ammo, give you a ride, etc. Plus some would even say that the "TW's" teamkill for vehicles...not cool.Comment

A tank is there to be uses, it's battlefield, but people who only get in tanks or APC or be like 95% of the time in one is just lame, they have no skills at all and the only thinhg the can do is sit in there precious tank, those are tank whoresComment

well, I can admit I can be a "tank whore", but that is not all I do. When you see me jump into some armor, it's because of one of three reasons 1) no one else is using it or the people that have been using it do a better job crashing into buildings than engaging the enemy 2) Our team is getting our butts kicked or 3) I'm ****ed and you are going to die now Lol.
But after using the tank, or jet...or anything!...I'll usually ask if I see someone around if they want to use it. Heck, I have even driven an APC across the map before, saw a guy, got out and gave it to them, just because I didn't want to be hogging armor.
The people that are true tank whores are the ones that spawn rape and base rape. I stick with my team (unless they suck and i have to do all the work lol). Seriously...tell me how many times you have seen a tank purposely drive slowly so the squad behind them can keep up, plus provide a nice armored shield for whatever lies ahead? I've done that several times when playing with a good squad.
I agree that the people that only just use armor are lame. I have used a lot of armor, but usually it's because no one else is, and to win the battle, its kind of nice to have some armor in there.Comment

Example: MEC, Karkand, base nearest to USMC side. Getting killed by a tank at the moment you spawn. That's tank whoring and/or spawncamping. It's not unnatural people don't like that.Comment

Real definition of Tank whore: Someone who uses Tanks whenever they can, bypassing other vehicles, and sometimes even killing teammates to get to a tank first. They then proceed to use nothign but tanks the whole round, even if the team desperately needs him some where else as something else.
Of course, immature peopel who are killed repeatedly by tanks will call all tankers tank whores, which is probably untrue. To be a real tank whore, you'd have to stick completely to tanks for MUCH more than the lenght of one round.Comment

Heres my problem with the tank. I used to never use armor as I came from CS and enjoy the ground pound action. But it seems that when I don't take the tank it is often left at our main for the enemy to steal. Nothing is worse than 2 tanks, cept maybe 2 bombers. This is also the reason I learned to fly choppers and airplanes. Not to whore, but to make use of the assets given to the team. I wish more people would whore the vehicles so i can get back to what I enjoy....Pounding the groundComment
